Yeah one big overall management screen would be nice so then you know at what step in the supply chain you're having the issue and what building to adjust.
Awesome video man! I already have a market up and running making good money but figured I’d check it out to see if I could learn anything! Just a tip, the seamsters level up in production pretty fast, faster than the cook, smithy & workshop in my experience. I also heard somewhere that their level gain is based on how valuable the items they produce are. In the seamsters I have them making fur boots and shoes and they level up really fast comparatively. Not sure on the values and amounts like 1 fur shoe vs 1 wooden vial (5 actually) and if the things like vials and plates can be good cause you make more of them. I have 3 seamsters right now so I can keep a couple stalls running at max production and still have extras! Very good guide!
Yeah the value has an effect on it so a blacksmith makes an iron axe they get more exp vs if they make a stone axe but the thing I'm seeing is they make stone so much faster than iron that I'm honestly not sure if they're leveling any faster or at the same rate as they would've with stone. I might have to start rotating my production people through the seamsters then maybe I can get some exp faster and then move them to other production buildings good catch!
@@7CGames that’s exactly what I do! I rotate people through the seamsters to build their skills and then send them off to work the other stations! It kinda happened by accident when I had my first baby boom. All the seamsters were women and I had to fill their roles when they had their babies. This is when I noticed that many of them were level 8 or 9 production, while extraction people I’ve had on stations longer were only 4-5. I’ve started applying the value method to other stations and it seems to be working out nicely for raising their levels. In the lumber station, planks seem to be the best. Blacksmiths have been doing way better since I unlocked iron. Hunting lodge workers have been leveling up very quickly on fur and leather aswell. As for the speed they craft vs value I’m not sure which one is better either. I’m sure it probably varies from station to station, aswell as the stage of the game you are in. Some production methods may be more effective in earlier parts of the game but may be rendered useless with advancements in the tech tree
@@MarbleBoyProductions Yeah see that' the issue I'm seeing is if they make 5 stone axes a day for 1xp each or 1 iron axe a day for 5xp each then it's a push. Now what I'd love to do is see what the best extraction is. I know the well doesn't lvl anyone at all but I wonder if the mine would possibly be better because there's 6 people contributing to the resource intake and then contributing to the exp intake. I have such a problem with leveling extraction people.
@@7CGames for extraction I think it’s probably wooden planks.. Iron might be better once you unlock the mine, especially with there being 6 people, but I’ve been putting them on wooden planks cause I figure they were the most valuable out of the extraction goods. Ima have to do some testing on it. Get a level 10 and have them make one stone axe, check the xp, make one iron, check the xp, then see how many can be produced per day and multiply the xp. I’d just have to shut down all other sources of production or start a new game. But iron takes a long time to get.. let me know if you figure anything out on it and I’ll do the same!
Thank you so much for such a great stall video. Question. Do you have a video that goes from farm to stall so to speak. From gathering resources, to making the items , then to selling them.
Thank you so much glad it helped! I don't have one covering the entire supply chain. I could put one together to cover the entire process of extraction/harvesting to production to sale.
The market stall items sell for a lot less than at vendors are the kingdom. But I guess you make that up since you can sell them everyday vs going to every vendor once per season
Yeah I always had that suspicion but you also kinda pay for the convenience. You don't have to clear the entire map to sell your stuff manually yourself. Not to mention there's a finite amount of money each vendor has. So the stalls can bring in massively more cash than what the max out of the town vendors could even carry.
Ok that'd make sense. I mean crafting an iron knife is gonna be more xp so for sales they'd have to base it on something. Yeah and selling higher tier stuff is WAY more cash. Hmm wonder if there's a way to maybe gimick it some...
Ive noticed in my game and so far in all videos ive watched to try and find out if im seeing it right maybe no one else is noticing look at all the prices of the items selling at the same say 1% you can sell iron or a stick at 1% and they both sell at the same price so its more convenience than ability to make its actual worth you could actually be losing money
never heard of of new recruits having 3 across the board plus a hero skill - so couldn't understand this 'spoiler alert' and I would like to - anybody can point me out into any info ofhow to get new recruits like that?
There's a "hero" townsfolk for every skill. Tesla for production, Americo for diplomacy etc. They'll always have 6 in their main skill and 3s across the board. They're random wife quests so as soon as you're married you can have a chance to get one of them.
@@elliex6505 You're welcome glad to help! You can actually get every super townsfolk but it's all RNG as to when, or if, your wife will give you the quest to give you the opportunity to pick them up. Unfortunately the only advice I could give is to save scum. Save right before you go to bed on the last night of the season and keep reloading until she gives you the quest you're looking for.
Hmm I always went planks -> wooden vials but the wooden and clay vials both seem to have plummeted in price since the oxbow update. Maybe spoons are the way to go? I have seen a lot of talk of stone arrows being the new meta maybe.
I'd love that! If you made a campfire and put out seats and you could get 1-3 recruitable townsfolk hanging out in your own town. That'd be super cool!
I really wish there was a village production tab, 1 screen that shows all your village inputs and outputs. Would make things a lot easier ha
Yeah one big overall management screen would be nice so then you know at what step in the supply chain you're having the issue and what building to adjust.
I'm just about to start winter in my 3rd year and I already want a page like that
Thank you for explaining this!
Thank you for the kind words I'm glad it was useful!

the way i understand it, the xp for crafting is awarded per item, the xp for diplomacy is awarded per gold piece. which is why diplomacy shoots up

Wait what you're saying a stick an iron ingot and an iron axe all sell the same amount?
@7CGames lol that's how I was seeing it but I figured out what I wasn't understanding I didn't notice the amount of items being sold 😅
Oh right yeah that 1% effort the worker sells like 30 sticks but takes 3 days to sell an ingot. I never noticed the $ part though!

If you want a level craftsman up really fast, put them in the sewing hut. When they get to ten, make them a cook or a workshop worker or a blacksmith.
Oh sewing hut moves production faster than workshop? I'll definitely have to test this thanks!
i wager a woodshed working on gathering tons of sticks with a workshop making spoons for a stall is more or less infinite money
