  • This video is about kata guruma part2,
CORRECTION Actually as soon as the hip of thrower goes down on the mat it is called YOKO OTOSHI, if off the knees and shins only, it is kata guruma.

JUDO = Adapting road, ju meaning to yield, players adapt to the rules in judo, often with unintended consequences.

good body position, and as long as you are concerned for opponent please check it in drills at dojo for safety.
What you regularly do in training is usually accurately repeated under stress in tournament.

This is not kata guruma nor a yoko otoshi.

@@JudoLife Actually, the technique shown (in around minut 1) was born as a combination (renraku henka waza) of kata guruma followed by a uki waza, people started to call it as kata otoshi. Here you show it throwing by the eri side. It is quite dangerous to teach it for kids or low graduate stundents since they, in general, do not know how to do a properly ukemi. It can cause injuries to the shoulder, spine and other articulations.
ps. I am not trying to negatively criticise or start a fight here. I am just arguing as a fellow judoka! Have a nice weekend and keep on the good work!
