That was just the chopper motor starter's heater tripping, and since that motor starter also starts the delay relay (Agistat), it caused the whole thing to shut down after the 8 second delay. All you'd need to do is open the RCM cabinet and press the white reset button below the contactor for the chopper, above the autotransformer. Don't worry, it's not truly "dead" lol. Nice video either way!
@jsncrso I agree, that kinda hit me after I posted the original comment about the heater lol. What sparked the idea that it could've been the timer was Eric Green's video of the 1000 with the AR that malfunctioned, which basically did exactly what this Thunderbolt did.
@murrfarms OR, another possible cause is the timer malfunctioned and didn't latch-in to keep the cycle going. That's happened on a Thunderbeam in Bibb County before, and all that ended up happening to fix it was replace the top-left "ice cube" relay that controls the AR's motor. Whichever way it ends up being, they're both very easy (and cheap) fixes.
@97Siren Wait, the Whelen was AT Imhoff and Pickard? What kind was it? I took the Thunderbolt that was there. Mustang installed the 2001s I think in October or November.
Wow it did a Very Sickly Growl than Died does Mustang OK have any other Replacement Thunderbolt 1000Ts to install after this one is taken out of service however i think this area still has great siren coverage dispite the dead Thunderbolt 1000T
Now it can be replaced by a good siren... No offense tbolt lovers but I've personally always hated tbolts... It can now be replaced by a more reliable Whelen, perhaps?

at 0:13, you could hear the chopper stop and the blower continue, at least it hink it was the blower....
@murrfarms Not so sure...that's pretty fast for a heater to trip. Whatever it was, it's definitely something in the controls.

sounds like and looks like either a miss fire in the circut or the ar timer had a problem....that happened to our thunderbolt and we fixed it
