I am proud to live in a world where things like Lie Nielsen exist

I have three Lie-Nielsen planes: A 4 1/2 bronze smoothing plane, an adjustable mouth block plane, and a rabbit block plane. These are the finest tools I own. I use them daily in my shop -- with both pleasure and excellent results.
It is true that these planes cost more than some alternatives, yet value is remembered long after the price is forgotten. My sons and grandchildren will someday own and treasure these planes, as I do.
Many thanks for making such fine tools.

So far I own three of your planes and a dowel plate and I am very happy with them, it's a pleasure to work with high quality tools. I'm not a rich man, so I have to save money for quite a while to afford one of your tools, but the quality is worth every cent. Also I like your company philosophy that still includes a high percentage of hand work and keeps the work locally.
Keep up the good work, you are doing a great job and can be proud of the tools you produce.

I have a lot of respect for the path that Lie-Nielsen has taken. It looks like you're not trying to create a revolution in new tool design - so no changes for change's sake. Instead, it looks like you're taking quality, time-proven designs and giving the tweaks that make them the absolute best they can be.

I live in Canada, so I bought the next best thing, a Veritas plane. But I must say, Lie Nielsen fabrication is inspiring. I will own a Lie Nielsen one day, for the craftsmanship involved in a quality tool.

It was a bit painful for me to fork over $350 for my new #4 bench plane I just bought from Lie-Nielsen, and I wondered if it was worth it. After watching this video and seeing the workmanship, I am impressed that my $350 was actually a bargain - especially to get a tool of exemplary Lie-Nielsen quality. I also am happy to be keeping my cash in the USA. I'll be spending a lot more money at LN in the future.

I have the Lie Nielson 4 1/2 it’s absolutely amazing. I first purchased a Veritas low angle. I know I’m not comparing apples to apples but I thought there was no way I’d like the Lie Nielson better I was just hoping I’d like as well. It’s what I reach for the most. Two reasons and they’re nothing big but I like the A2 blade in the Lie Nielson better than the PMV 11 and the Lie Nielson is just the most beautiful tool I’ve ever owned.

I've got a few of the LN tools, such a joy to use, and after a stressful day I find myself in the shed just polishing up and oiling them haha, we all have problems

Nice work. My Lie Nielsen tools are an absolute pleasure to work with. Some times I plan a project with the goal of using my chisels, the end product is always nice but somehow the most satisfying part is the making. I suspect this is mainly because the tools are so nice to work with.

What amazing plane this is excellent tenon work the cut is so sweet and the just feels as your using it is like a extension of my hand. Keep up the awesome work.

Thank you for the great video reminiscent of "How it's Made". I took an impromptu, in person tour a few years ago when I bought a jack plane but was curious about the casting part not done at the shop. Wow. And thanks for a great plane, so much I bought another one (or two, maybe three :-) since then and look forward to more in my future.
