- We traveled to the state of South Carolina and decided to visit the National Parks site at Ninety-Six. We learned a lot and had a great time at this historic site. Make sure you watch the movie in the visitor's center, it was very well done. It makes the tour of the property that much more meaningful.

Thanks!! One of my ancestors was there. He kept switching sides during the war. He was also an Indian and I’m researching exactly why he kept going back and forth on who he supported.
Andrew Pickens was originally a Loyalist (Torie) who switched sides. Also, apparently the backwoods and 96 district was so debaucherous that it would make the wild West blush!
