He didn't play the hand that bad. The preflop raise and call were splashy but relatively common for tv, he needed to call a big river bet for it to be objectively terrible. I dont like Dan and do not believe anything he's said btw. The vid of him playing online is a much better example of his ability. I think he would've snapped off a 20k bet by Eubanks.

There’s 4 world titles in each boxing division. The WBC, WBA, IBF, & WBO. Eubank JR boxed for the WBA world title at super middleweight and lost. He did however win a interim wba world title at middleweight and a minor IBO world title at super middleweight. Those are not real/legitimate world titles though. Eubank JR has never been world champion.

I'll go against the mob and say it's not a terrible check-back at all. He already got plenty of value from his hand pre-flop, on the flop, and on the turn. The only hand he's beating and possibly getting called by is a queen (which Dan had) or maaaybe a nonbelieving pocket tens or jacks. Given Dan's open in early position a naked queen wasn't super likely as having two aces removes several AQ combos, which is the naked queen hand that makes the most sense for an early position open. Pocket kings is very unlikely as those will 4-bet far more often than not. If Dan was on a draw he's not calling a river bet anyway, and a potential check-raise from Dan would put Eubank in an awful spot. Trying for three streets of value from a one pair holding (even AA) in a multi-way pot is pretty hard to do and it backfires quite often. I thought he played it fine.
Of course snap call if you bet 4500 in a 15.100 pot... Really really bad sizing... 8000-12000 on the turn to protect the hand and get value for a Queen.

Every opponent's action gives a player information. Dan played that hand passively throughout, which should have given Chris enough information that he has Dan beat. Chris had $24,000 left, meaning that's how much more he could have won from Dan. That's more then double what Dan has already committed to the hand.

Most poker regulars would check on the river. 8 made an open ender straight on the river. River bet is an invitation for aggressive bluffing.
