  • Australia has a fantastic tradition in sport, but unfortunately sports injuries are part of the scene. The knee is one of the most commonly injured joints in sport and often involves the ligaments. Taping has been shown to be important during rehabilitation and return to action to activity.
    Watch as Osteopath Paul Hermann demonstrates a knee strapping technique that will provide support, control but still allows mobility to allow individuals to return to activity as soon as it’s safe to do so.

      In the Army. I would tape my back to protect from rucksack rub. The tape would easily last the 7 day test week. Brutal to remove in the shower afterwards🤣

    My knee blew up for no apparent reason one day i didn't think to much of it but was uncomfortable laying down and getting up...No pain just a little awkward but the knee was like this for about two months...
    I decided to use this(Elasticoplast) and after two weeks my knee deflated God knows how and back to normal ...
    I Was advised to go to Hospital by doctors before hand but the fact I have a massive fear of surgery I thought I would live with it till i found something and this tape is magic.....

    Lots of people get bad rashes from the tape. Ace bandages seem to work well without the rashes.

    You missed the bit where you advise on shaving ya legs prior to doing this otherwise the pain experienced when taking it off will out weigh the knee pain you had in the first place!! ;-)

      @1BeGe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems like a bit of an unanswerable question.
      Was your injury a paper cut? Then probably will be fine.
      Cannon ball to the knee? Probably not as fine.
      There's various levels between that would require their own assessment.

    Instead of this, could use one of those velcro knee support things?
    Just curious as over the time of the injury, this is going to cost a small fortune and in my eyes as they are both on the outside of the body in effect they would or might be doing the same thing..... Or am I missing something.

    • @seinfeld11123
      @seinfeld11123 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no you must spend $70 on all the tapes!
      the first stuff he used is plaster type is quite stiff. then he finished with a compression bandage (this is a self sticking bandage it looks like tape as well but it isnt)
      if you have to choose get a compression bandage or self adhesive bandage. D3 makes them as well and can pick them up in coles for $8 for 2 different thickness. good value. elastoplast will be quite expensive
