Am not ashamed to accept but the last scene made me cry like a kid. It's hard to be a soldier but it's harder for the family and the loved ones. Salute to all those fighting for the country sacrificing everything behind them. JAI HIND!
The writer-actor said major sandeep's life is too cinematic to believe.infact they actually cut down so much otherwise people would think its too unreal to happen.
We Can Never forget S.Unnikrishnan but his life story/biography dserved more real filmmaking instead of artificial and dramatic plot.....the way major is made it looks like more on an action movie whether biopoc should be raw and meaningful

I feel like the part about the toxic guy in the NDA academy is wrong. The process to get in the military academy is pretty hard with many hurdles like psychological tests. He would have been weeded out immediately, during the interview. Or if he had made it, he would have been kicked out when pushed the other guy to come second.
There are dicks in nda but not in a bad way they tease you mock you. you just need to earn respect from them prove something and real bad one get straightened by leader 🤣 very quick

I got mixed feelings after watching Major. On one hand, it was a brilliant cinematic experience. On the other, there was too much melodrama. Some action scenes in the hotel were way too over the top. Nonetheless it was a great tribute to Major Sandeep. Salam to his family

But the acting and the core emotions in these movies still stand the test of time. Major has strung a chord with me. I will remember this film for a long time.

This movie shows our jawans our officers ours special agents. Govt that time mocked the army for the cause of infiltration, same govt in opposition mocked the air strikes and surgical strikes. What an average citizen do not understand that they stop infiltration on daily basis, but as someone said that the force have to be lucky everyday and thr enemy has to be lucky just once. So its our responsibility to take pride and stand behind our soldiers , who on daily basis do their job that we live in peace. Jai Hind.

I think you should have watched 'Hotel Mumbai' . Because it was made before this movie and also it was completely different perspective also featuring international actors.

I can still remember the day when i was in my hostel days, every Saturday there used to be movie session in our hostel...Our warden introduced this movie to us..we all (almost majority)of the girls cried like a little kid..i mean i never cried like that while watching a movie. What a crazy experience it was😅

there are many patriotism related bio picked movies from URI to sita ramam.... but major feels like it had a lot of cinema spice than actual story. also this is coming from a guy who's 3 generation forefathers have spend their lives in mumbai, who was glued to tv news when 26/11 happened, watching Sandeep Unnikrishnan in news. even shershah was decent movie.... i am rather inspired by the legends than movies made upon them.... not to mention not even 2% of indian cinema has covered the heroism of indian navy, army and IAF.

I didn't feel any melodrama watching it. It was crisp, cinematic and the acting was top notch. And its a movie so little bit of drama is expected.
The melodrama is real in a soldier's life, I think. There are terrorists, who feel too less, and there are soldiers who feel too much.

Watch Mayaanadhi. It's a masterpiece. Also stars Tovino Thomas. It's one of the most well written film from India. Screenplay is crazy detailed.
