This song really gives the right vibes for this fight, perfectly encapsulating that feeling of two men at the ends of their ropes that have the resolve to put an end to things on their terms, both badass and sad in the same hand. One last fight to see who the real Dragon is, Ryuji or Kiryu, before the bomb goes off. Of course we know Kiryu survives the fight and goes on to live for another 7 games (and hopefully more, even if he doesn't take a major role in future ones), but neither of them knew if they'd survive the night, and neither could stand down. One of my favorite boss tracks in the franchise, maaaaybe beaten out by Kurohyou 2's Born to be Wild by the sheer fact that it's a vocal track as well.
i'm glad i decided to listen to the ost, because ive found other songs that are honestly amazing, even if they've been used in the game for one specific moment, although i haven't been able to find the song that plays when kiryu hits the desk once realizing that sayama went to kamurocho hills to confront ryuji alone, but i dont feel like i should keep looking for it, honestly, i appreciate the work you do with grabbing the songs from the games, because it helped me find so many other songs that i enjoyed listening throughout my playthrough of kiwami 2.
@@miraclejohnsonvevo7071 aw man, it really does seem like nobody can find that song, but i do appreciate your work (ngl ive been wanting to hear this full song for a while)
@@goldentheidiot The problem is that the music is mixed with the cutscene audio, which means that, at best, it could be ripped but still with the sound effects.
The thing with cutscenes that aren't part of dynamic intros is that the music tends to be outsourced, an external studio composes them based on their contents (emphasize), so for some reason or another these are not included in the soundtrack releases, one exception that comes to mind is Lost Judgment which uses outsourced music from MIT Studio and also has it in the OST (although the music is for the boxing minigame and not cutscenes). The majority of the series OST in streaming are missing many songs though.

Dude major props to you for doin all of these, though I have to ask for help on one cause you are the closest I've gotten to it so far. Do you have any idea what the theme playing as ryuji is sending sayama down the elevator right before he and kriyu fight for the final time is? I've tried for a while and just cant find it. Any help would be appreciated even if its just a, "there's no way to get that theme." response.
@@miraclejohnsonvevo7071 Huh don't know why it never occurred to me that they might of reused an old track. I can't thank you enough for helping a random guy find a song he liked, and for going through all the effort of uploading as much of the ost, if not all of it, to TH-cam. @@yungbathwater The original Yakuza 1 and 2 have some great tracks that for different reasons were discarded from their Kiwami remakes. I recommend you not only to listen to their soundtracks (including the B-Sides of course ;) ), but also to play them, they're truly an unique experience, and I mean it unironically, besides of the infamous english dub. You can use the music for that project of course, not that you need my permission anyway, I'm just showing stuff made by SEGA and their team of musicians, but any shout-out will be appreciated :) Looking forward to it! And once again, thanks for your support, all the work I put on this is worth it just for comments like yours :)

Slowing down the piano at the start was such a good idea, really adds to the sombre mood of the fight
Having just finished K2, this song hurts but I can’t stop listening cuz it’s so good too 🫠
