To anyone who might care, just saying a final farewell to Corrie. Since 'the thing' began in Spring of 2020, I've watched 21 years of folk coming & going over the cobbles, from 1975 until now & even when my favourites departed, I hung on until the next episode, as there was just enough interest to keep me going. I wondered when it would end & this is it, yes, there are still some of the old gang around, but the sparkle has faded to nothing, the stories have none of the old charm & even Raquels had a dreary 90's makeover. So, ta chuck, you've been smahin' company during dark times, but it's time I was off, my cab's waiting outside the Rovers & I'm leaving Weatherfield behind, don't know where I'm going, but I'll take fond memories with me. Ta-rah Chuck, Ta-rah. x

Don says: " she's poor Ivy and we eat cheap food and we get by." I'd love to watch that again. I recorded it when it was first broadcast but either taped over it by mistake or lost the tape. Don and Ivy were interesting characters, indeed they remind me of Neil and Susan Carter from the Archers. Often arguing, falling out etc but something keeps them together. Besides the obvious, that Tricia has a couple of things in common with Vera. First, on the rare occasions when they believe they hold the moral high-ground, they make a meal of it. I imagine that's because, even they, can't see it happening again. Second, when they want something from someone, they're all teeth and smiles. When refused, it takes them a split- second to be raging and seething, and calling the person that refused them.
I don't know what, if anything, the actor who plays Norris has done in his career. But after seeing his role in the square dealers plotline (which itself is super uninteresting), I think he had the makings of a great villain - maybe in a James Bond movie.
Karaoke is all the rave today and people don't think twice before getting drunk and belting out songs 🎤as if they were Cindy Lauper or Whitney Houston some are good and some are just fool hearty.

Besides the obvious, that Tricia has a couple of things in common with Vera.
First, on the rare occasions when they believe they hold the moral high-ground, they make a meal of it. I imagine that's because, even they, can't see it happening again.
Second, when they want something from someone, they're all teeth and smiles. When refused, it takes them a split- second to be raging and seething, and calling the person that refused them.
Load of people are like that in real life. Realistic chav characters or fishwife if they're old
