Robert Skidelsky: Keynes on “The Road to Serfdom”

I like Keynes reply to hayeks magnum opus and the overall points he raised. I also loved the discussion. But, keynes was seriously wrong, and also hopelessly Eurocentric ( or should i say american Europe centric) when he claimed that "we" are on the path to solving our economic problem of scarcity. It is of course a typical feature of bourgeois though that takes global inequalities and uneven development as a fact of nature. Not to mention imperialism and the rest of it. Humanity is certainly not on that path. I think Keynes had wise things to say on global trade as well as to how to reach a more balanced world economy. Nevertheless, to state that we are on the path of eliminating scarcity on a global scale is ridiculous.
