    A good breathing exercise that takes little time is "box breathing": inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds. Repeat as needed. It helps suppress the panic response in your brain by mimicking calm breathing in your lungs, which sends signals to the brain that "no, this is not a life-threatening situation" and to turn off the "fight or flight" response.

      I’ll give that a shot sometime! I usually just do deep breathing but counting it out I can see being more beneficial!

    I started blowing at my throwing hand in my pub league for the first time when I felt serious pressure. Never knew why but it felt good and I still occasionally do it. I'm glad I know now there is actually something to back it up. Cool video 😊👍

    it is very helpful to have a routine in the darts game that you can do the same in training and in competition. This creates neural connections in the brain and thus feels more secure and less stress. It is very helpful to make the training as competitive as possible.
    Rhythm for example. Many players throw much faster without an opponent in training than is possible in competition. Nervousness and a lack of security are also caused by the differences in training and competition. In the competition you feel in a new situation that you are not used to. Visualizing competitive situations and imagining a competitive situation can be very helpful to train the mind game.please excuse my poor english

    I take a Ginko Biloba supplement an hour before playing. Helps my brain. Helps my darts.

    I’ve been struggling a lot lately with nerves & it’s getting worse. Tried that cbd oil but without beer it didn’t work. Have a great Christmas mate

      It’s def not as strong as alcohol as far as calming the nerves, merry Christmas to you too Stephen!

    I’m usually ok but occasionally get some jitters. Being slightly “heightened “ with good nerves helps me but everyone is different. We’ve got a guy in my team who’s played against the same players in the same league year in year out for prob thirty / forty years and he still craps it every week! 😂

    Cannabis oil or drops, too? Should you only take this when the tournament or several times

    • @BullshotDarts
      @BullshotDarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CBD oil has many benefits so you can use anytime for certain benefits, but when I use it during darts, I use a vape pen so it’s more of an instant effect and I’ll use it throughout the day, a little more when the nerves are higher

      Although I made 1/8 finals I didn't had fun because of my nerves... I need a stronger extract kanna or will try phenibut. Phenibut works on the same receptors as alcohol without the negatives.

      @@BullshotDarts To be honest, it all comes down to the practice, if you have practiced enough hours you can feel how comfortable you are even if you dont throw the best game but you will be comfortable and wont have problems with nerves, as we see even the BIG guys deal with nerves :D
