After the 1st quarter, I started to lose faith in Patty, I started to think that Toronto would take a big lead and I watched some 4th of July fireworks across the boarder, when I got back I regretted going! D stepped up big and won us that game. It is good for Patterson to build some early confidence and hopefully keep it going, next game vs BC is the biggest game of the season so I hope that we keep it going, I was dancing too in the game GO RIDERS GO
I had a sick stomach watching the first 20 mins of game. Thought it was going to be a loss for the Riders. Offence came around a bit and defence played lights out.
Roughrider guy, the only reason that the riders are winning is because you've sang and danced after every win. Plan and simple. You are it sir.. keep it up.
Hard to fill stadium on Thursday night game when half the crowd comes from outside of town. Just have to take our turn for Thursday games. I like the idea of spreading game out.
Definitely a team win. I figured Patterson would be ok, even after a slow start. Very common with 1st CFL starts. Take away his first 20 plus minutes, he did well. Every game Ive warched Ive veen calm and just feel they are different and will pull it out. Our defence is awsome. Carey had 39 yards rushing. Our run defence has been crazy good. Milligan is the best DB in the league which I was saying 2 years ago. Emilus had a great TD. Obviously a healthy Harris is better, but it is early and these minutes for Shae are very valuable. We've seen Collaros throw for 200 yards(ish) the odd time the last 3 years and still win. I think next week, AJ will have a big game. I feel BC is not as strong vs the run as they spend alot on offensive stars. Hopefully Bane will be back but also wanted to see Keesan Johnson again. That Myers, look forward to seeing him get a shot but not too soon. We want a healthy team and the best available players. Sounds like BC is getting Hatcher back. He and Hollons woth MCInnis are tough to keep in check with a mobile Adams who can extend plays. Gonna be tough. Patterson will definitely have to take a step forward. Gonna be a good test and see where we are at and continue to get better from there. I strongly believe in this coaching staff and the players buying in. The confidence is high and next weeks match with the top 2 Western teams going head to head out in Vancouver is gonna be fun to watch. Go Riders
Thanks for comment good one. Hladik was out last game for BC maybe he will not be ready. BC missing couple oline Couture and Knevel. Lions been playing 3 American on the oline. Hope all our guys can come back have not heard any news about our injuries.
not gonna lie first couple drives had me nervous, but good for patterson to pull through n get the W. few mistakes but most of those mistake were expected seeing is how its his first start. imo overall he did good theres been worse
I laughed very hard after the game on the people who did the picking and their comments. How they down played Shea Patterson. The defense played awesome and put Dukes to shame on the comments they gave Patterson about his first start. It might be Dukes is done and is just another Dolagala played good a few games and folded. I called the run play on Patterson TD and sure enough he went and got the TD. Mace decision to kick the field goal when on th 2 yard was the correct call. I see a few coaches are now starting to give the call to player safety, not putting injured QBs into not playing while hurt. The best one is Collarus being mad, who is the biggest whiner told he not in against the Redblacks. Rider let face it the DB's are ball hawks and VA of the Lioness will be feeding Riders the ball.
One thing that puzzled me was Alford taking a knee early on the last drove comong instead of getting lots of yardscand killing the clock a bit more@@roughriderguy

The first quarter I was saying we are going to get wiped out. Then Patterson came around to keep us in the game.

Think Coach Mace was just killing few seconds before time out. Can't gamble at that point have to go for field goal and go two scores up.

@@shycourage4992 Think Alford saw 5 Argos coming at him and had no blockers since the hands team was on just in case of short kick.
