I have done long ride of 450+km in a day with Pillion in my RS( to banglore and back home 450km+450km)... That too with only lunch break and some 1-2 minute breaks. Only modification was mototek backrest, me and my pillion had no body pain at all, It was super comfortable even on this long drive. Pillion height 5.3, weight 55kg. Mileage was 41 avg, cruising at 80-110kmph

Hi KLRider is there a performance difference after ECU update that came some months ago? Some TH-cam comments are saying that all gears lost some top end and gear ratio have become little shorter , like not able to cruise at 65km in 3rd gear , earlier it was just floating in 3rd gear is it true? I had a short test 5km test drive yesterday and felt something similar hence asking, pls reply
ECU update didn't make any noticeable difference in the performance. It's true that there is a very little change in gearing pattern, u could ride in 5th gear at 60-70kmph with more ease, even though i still prefer 80+ for 5th gear. Other than that no difference at all.

it's more of a technical update, so less likely there will be any performance change. but with particulate filter being installed, there may be a reduction in exhaust sound

Stock guard is of good quality. In case of a crash it will give enough protection. But still depends on the gravity/ angle of ur fall. If u want a wider one go with bs auto or other after markets. You will get an idea in fb groups about its quality

seating comfort will vary on person to person. there are ppl who never had a comfortable touring experience because of seats and ppl who had done 1000s of km long rides without any issue. u can try some seat modifications as per ur needs. split seats won't make much diff for rider

Fuel empty ചെയ്യുക.
put New engine oil and filter.
disconnect battery.
clean and lube chain
park in a garage or cover properly and avoid any moisture.
check for any rust on regualr intervals.
use wd40 and anti rust if needed.
