How to PAIR / SYNC your Joy-Cons & Pro Controllers to your Nintendo Switch

Hi, this video shows you how to pair your Joy-Con and Pro Controllers to your Nintendo Switch. It also shows you how to change the order of them so player 4 can become player 1 etc.

Are you able to pair two joycons as if they are in the grip but arent, for example if i was to buy an extra set of joycons would i have to buy another grip or could i use them side by side without the grip so i could have 2 people each using 2 joycons? 1 with a controller and one without?

My daughter recently bought the Switch and wanted me to help set it up to play on the tv. Ah shit no instruction booklet. Cool. Thanks. Just needed to know how to pair my red and blue joy-cons as I got the animal crossing one instead of the red and blue like I wanted. So, I bought them instead. Now, when and if I want I can switch them out. Might even leave the original ones paired as well. No one but me plays it. Well, the hubby said he might.

My joycons have been having some really bothersome issues recently. So me and my friend were going to play mk8d, since I don't have a WiiU, but when detached, the joycons won't connect AT ALL. They do connect occasionally but only if they're held absurdly close to the switch, so it's impossible to play with TV mode. They literally only work when connected to the switch.
