Onion should be thin slice sideways, garlic just smash it with side knife it will peel it then mince. My ways of cooking is I like to have a ginger that's the only missing for me. And of course I like to fried a bit to become golden brown. Then back mixing to the sauce.

Great job! I use sprite , vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaf, garlic , pepper ...after boiling it ..I then saute with garlic/fry to golden brown then add the sauce . Add sugar if u like it bit sweet. I add boiled egg to serve 😍
