      Vietnam will go back to a have, and have not society. Once the world economic crash comes from Wall Street. Average working people and middle class cannot afford to buy even a micro home in Hanoi and HCMC.

    So was the rezoning and making the apartments bigger approved by the government, or did they just build it bigger and assume it would all be good (likely with bribes)? I don't quite understand. Was Novaland acting as a shell company to avoid detection, or were they completely off the records? In any case, none of this is surprising. Just another day in Vietnam real estate.

      @@JaimeHurleyexactly! The one difference is that the corrupt U.S officials don’t go to jail. Take the Bernie Maddoff’s $64B scam for example, the most severe punishment for the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) employees is a 30-day suspension and pay cut. Also, the U.S Supreme Court justice, Clarance Thomas, went on family vacation (each trip costs hundreds of thousands dollars) on private yatch for over a decade funded by a Texan republican billionaire donor and still presiding over the court. Let’s not forget the current as well as last U.S presidents and their family members are/were under investigations and nothing happened to them.

    @donnguyen8443 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Investing any sum of money to buy a property in Vietnam is not only high-risk, but also near 100% probability you will lose your money. Remember, all land is 100% owned by the State. It's a good thing foreigners can't buy land at all, and can only buy certain condos where 49% is allocated to woo foreigners to purchase. The rest of the building requirement is that the other 51% is Vietnamese owned, so as to never give any majority entitlement to foreigners.
    But regardless, investing a penny in a condo in Vietnam is more risky than throwing your money into the ocean.
    Good luck giving out advice to the contrary just so you can make a commission buck. It is unethical, and you know it as a lawyer. Best maybe that you stick to making TH-cam videos. It appears you are making more money from TH-cam then plying your legal services (there is no concreted legal system in Vietnam!) and attempting to get in the real estate game there in Vietnam, so maybe best stick to Youtubing.

    You alway put on a suit in a very hot and humid weather of Viet Nam. I recommend your wife open a store in district 1 selling suit and you become a model . Your law firm can subsidies the suite fashion business import from China. In Australia, big department and large retailers import from China beautipful and well cut and design suite and cheap too. Your suite look terrible.I wear the jacket to the airport , the Asian female flight attendants from Korea, Japan, Singapore looking and come say hello want to be friends,they pretend to ask for direction include the Vietnam airline flight attendants . Because I know how to dress and eye catching. I look honest, descent, casual, humble person.
