    The MAIN REASON You Need a Tilt Gauge In Your Van is for sleeping in when it's on an incline or tilt can really be awful and something I cant do, but with this tilt gauge installed into the van it makes leveling the van so much easier and we get a better nights sleep as well as having the van level which helps for lots of other reason. TheAUTOOL X95 is a smart GPS multi-functional HUD speedometer for driving, fully supports high-precision monitoring of car speed, vehicle tilt angle, vehicle pitch angle changes, compass, time, and car battery voltage status, to ensure your driving safety.

    That's a really nifty little device! Distrinks? That amused me. Mostly because in one of our last videos I said I would leave the description in the link. I didn't catch it during editing so it's there forever. It's nice to know others can't speak too. I find that comforting lol.

    I had an app for my phone that done this but never used it once. I look for a level enough spot and park. Used my ramps once then realised that would be the last time. I could sleep on a pin though lol.

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh mate it drives me nuts . I just can’t sleep on a slant or on an angle . I sufffer from a vary rare thing called Uvulitis and when I’m not level I wake up and the dangely thing at the back of my throte swells up like a balloon . So for me level is a must . Unlike Emma who could sleep upside down on a stair case lol

    Nice job, but a little tip when joining wires just stagger the joint by 1 inch and cut wires to suit so the two bare wires don't touch then just wrap your insulation tape over the whole join 👍

    • @UrbanVanlife

    What has been the total cost as I’m looking at a crafter to do

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d say total like every thing and even from Van to parts to tools and screws like every thing I’d say £20.000 . It could have been done a lot lot less but all the gear we used was the best we could find . We haven’t outfitted it on the cheep but that’s not to say you couldn’t . If you got cheeper parts you could prob do it for £15.000 if you needed to .

    Nice vid Neil. Well explained and displayed. Interesting that you did this with the electrics connected. That spooked me a bit. Presumably if it is all done carefully and step by step as you did there is little chance of you going “Bang”. Could the same approach be used for directly wiring in sat nav’s etc. Did you just cut/strip the wiring back from the cigarette charger.
    All the best to you, Emma and the kids for the New Year from Dave and Mal in a very snowy Stoke

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes mate that’s how auto elecs should tap in to cables . Splice in and solder cover then to the next wire . Some Say you need to Isolate the main battery but in the years I’ve been doing it i’ve never had anything blow or pop just take your time and you’ll be fine all the best to you and the family Buddie and let’s hope 2021 is a much better year thanks for watching
