Happy new year I am so excited to see you guys and especially that lovely young lady who I had an opportunities to meet today. Hi it’s Lee. Kate, you guys keep up the great work!!🎉😊
Something I’ve done to cut down on number of bottles I purchase: set some criteria based on your taste preferences. I typically only buy bottles that are over 100 proof, ones that have a decent age statement, single barrel store picks, cask strength/full proof, and well reviewed bottles in $50-100 range. Will occasionally go over $100 for a bottle if I think it will be special. I only keep around 2-3 lower tier bottles that are under $40 for mixing or cocktails.
That's a great system! Some of the ones we go for don't have a lot of info available, so we try to pioneer the experience for others who are interested. Sometimes, they're duds, and other times, we find absolute hidden gems that we want to share with everyone else.
Happy New Year! I've only been a subscriber for a couple months, but you are one of the only bourbon channels that will keep my attention for 30 minutes. I'm local, so your information has been super helpful. I hope you'll get around to doing the all-Benchmark tasting soon!
That Sunshine Blend is interesting.. brown rice.. “good in a cocktail” .. hadn’t heard about it before. On the other hand, the Jimmy’s batch Booker’s is obviously an awesome concept and I’m looking forward to tasting it.. and the Stagg hazmat. Happy new year!🔥👑🥃
Great haul video! Here are the bottles that caught my attention. The Trader Joe’s, Wheel Horse, Binny’s Stagg Jr hazmat pick, Russell’s 15, and the Tanager. You closed out 2024 very strong!
OK, where do I begin number one it has to George T Stagg ,Still Austin cigar blend have to get that bottle. And last Stagg without the Jr. Great show! Now, how do I get that?😊
Nice bottles did you guys get a sample of the Ayra’s Green River store pick it’s fantastic if you haven't I’ll bring you a sample for the raffle on the 25th
Stagg is my favorite for sure. My local spot is doing their raffle this evening for BTAC and Pappy. Oddly I’m hoping for GTS over Pappy, because I know I’ll drink it.
@ Gratitude! I just know most people enter the raffle specifically for the Pappy products. I could win the 15, 20, or 23 and walk away with that and turn it into a GTS with some extra money, but I’m not into whiskey to make money yet unless I come across a barrel purchase opportunity. 🤷🏾♂️ I want to crack the GTS and share some handshakes with some of the people who have made this first year of bourbon a memorable one for me. 😎🤝🏾👍🏾
Man, how much is Still Austin paying these TH-camrs to hawk the Tanager? No one ever heard of it 1 month ago and suddenly it's everyone's whiskey of the year. Would love to know the payola amount.
I'd definitely recommend grabbing one or trying a pour at a bar. It will definitely change your mind about what people are saying. We've grabbed 2 so far: $150 and $130. Will definitely grab another one if we can find it.

Thankx for the Sample friend

We're glad you enjoy it!

Happy New Year! That makes us very happy. We're glad we can help you find stuff around the city and suburbs. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos and really enjoyed meeting you two! Jim
The pleasure is all ours! It was great to chat with you for a bit.
Most of those are out of my price comfort range.
But the Green River I can get single barrels quite often.
Happy new year 🎉
Cheers 🍻
I wish we had an easier time getting GRSiB around here. Happy New Year 🥃

Yeah, we're interested to see what it's all about. We'll have to get you a taste of the Jimmy's batch soon. Happy New Year 🥃

Thanks! We cracked open the Trader Joe's last night, and it's 🤌💣🔥

Happy New Year!! I have enjoyed watching your videos and lives all year and looking forward to 2025.
Thank you for supporting us! We plan to be bigger and better in the year to come.

Thanks for watching! We tried it on our first visit to Ayra's and absolutely loved it. Were you able to get our Jeppson's Pick as well?

I don't think there's anything odd about that at all. Good luck, my friend!

@shahiemjones2513 that's the way to do it!
I’d like to see a tanager but that’s not happening. Great haul and the GTS is a banger!!
We're trying our hardest not to drink it all already 😂
Michter's toasted bourbon has to be the most disappointing allocated bourbon I've tried. It's not worth the $120 i got at a grocery store.
It's definitely an acquired taste, that's for sure. I think I prefer their sour mash over the regular bourbon.

Not everyone's opinion is fueled by payouts. Try it for yourself before you form an opinion based on your own biases.
@BondingOverBourbon right, not EVERYONE, but some. Got it.
Have you tried it though?
@@BondingOverBourbon I have not. What did you pay for it?
