I don't have any of my children's books, as my sister claimed them all for her home when she moved out and started having kids. But I have built up my own collection as an adult, with fairytales, classics like The Wind in the Willows, A Little Princess, The Secret Garden, The Railway Children, The Country Child, Black Beauty, The Travellers in Time and loads more! I love reading them and keeping my inner child vibrant as I approach 62! This is such a lovely series!

Being primarily Scottish heritage your Celtic Myths books intrigue me! I like what you say about synchronisity in used books. When I rode a bus to commute and finished a book I'd always hand it on to my seat mate--perhaps he or she needed it? So glad you treasure the Deviant Moon book and hope you're enjoying your autumn 💙
I have so enjoyed this series! I put several book suggestions in my wish list for winter reading and like you I have so many books I've picked up 2nd hand and haven't read yet and am inspired to reorganize my bookshelves and read them! Now that cozy season is here - the fire is lit and tea brewed - I need to curl up and read more. I keep a notebook beside me and write down any things I want to remember/revisit because like you my memory is horrible. Thank you so much for taking this time to share.

Hi Candy. 'Five have plenty of fun' was one of my very few childhood books. I left it behind when I married. Recently I found it online (the 1950s edition) and was so pleased to have it back. Yes! Part 5! ❤ I’ve finally finished this series, and loved them all! I have to add: I was also a huge Gone With The Wind fan as a child; And none of my friends knew who the heck I was going on about 😂 I remember I wanted the Barbie version of Vivian Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara so bad I felt I’d die! All those beautiful gowns reproduced in miniature. I used to stare at them in the toy store ❤❤❤ You’re making me want to film another #picturebookdecks video! And you own a copy of Rosie’s Walk! 🐓 ❤ I could go on … anyway, loved all of these installments. Thank you 😊
Oh I have to confess I bought 2 Scarlett o hara Barbie’s at the start of the year and put them away for Christmas and my birthday . They have been dolls on my wish list for 40 years and I finally did it! I can’t wait for my birthday at the end of November and Christmas. I think I had read gone with the wind 3 or possibly 4 times by the time I was 12 and like you nobody around me understood as I’m the only reader in my family. I was so obsessed with Scarlett’s character, her resolve and her blind spots too. And the brooding love of Rhett… oh my! Why didn’t she see it?! also it’s scope… I was too young to really understand what a classic was but still I felt it in my bones that this was really something to read 🖤
