" Had a BAD Dream about Reality." " SCARY too!! " " With ALL of my Everlasting Love," Sundown from the Sunrise Studios.
Wasn't this at the point where the show reached levels of bawdiness as could be permitted under the strictures of American network television of the time and the infamous NAB Television Code? I know this was after the show came under the National Organization for Women's radar - and they launched a campaign against the show that is said to be a template for one mounted by UK feminist groups against Benny Hill's show beginning in the early 1980's when, under then-new producer Dennis Kirkland, the show pretty much became a Playboy magazine of the air, with T&A dominating the show, according to some critics, at the expense of the comedy. Having said that, though, I do have vague memories of Martin's show as it stood at this point in time, at the time. Including the barber sketches and one where Martin was a radio DJ ("Dino Martino"). I also remember when the show was briefly syndicated to local TV stations in 1980 in the wake of edits of Hill's shows taking off in the States.
So then, if you're that critical of Dean's show, you don't watch any tv now, right !? I know I don't. I only watch older shows like this "horrible" show. And Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. Are those horrible shows also, according to your "impeccable" tastes ??
@@lauravonutassy1919 - This isn't my criticism. I was going by the scuttlebutt "of the time" - but that the targeting of Martin by the likes of NOW prefigured what would be done in the 1980's in Britain by Benny Hill.

This episode is not on any of the DMS DVD’s. This is the full episode, coming from a VHS tape. Only the commercials are removed (not done by me).
