yo Shreddie, I'm moving to Hawaii in December and am looking for a good recommendation for a good new wipe. Been riding a spark bandit for the past two years but I'm considering a surron when I'm on the island. Got any advice or suggestions?
How are the faster ebikes like the serron in terms of legality? I got an euc I ride around on to work and stuff. Ride over the queensboro bridge where there are often checkpoints by the cops set for the gas scooters in the bike lane. Technically eucs are illegal, but no one ever bats an eye. Never had an issue. Been thinking of switching over, and just wondering if that’ll give me any problems.
Wish there was more e-cruisers/e-choppers on the market. That's more my style than the e-dirtbikes. I never go off-road, so I don't have a need for one. There's the Eahora Emars, but the small wheels make it look kinda goofy imo. Looks like someone took a full size chopper and put wheels from a minibike on it. What would be really cool would be an e-cruiser trike with a cargo box on the back like an electric version of a Harley Davidson Servicar. With springer forks too. Man, I'd buy something like that in a heartbeat.
If you want a better seat, just take a spare/extra seat to an upholstery shop that does motorcycle/car bits. 100% you pop open a business directory anywhere past SFO and you'll find a lot of custom shops that do exactly this - call a few and ask them if you can mail them some seats to upgrade, get a quote and turnaround times, you could even do content on the process of finding out and selecting your vendor if you have time.
Love your videos, you seem like a cool guy, I have a lectric xp 2.0, it only goes about 22 mph (throttle only), I want something faster, thought about the Surron but they’re not street legal, can you suggest something that is street legal that won’t break the bank and won’t look like I’m riding a kids bike lol, I’m 6’2, 230lbs. TIA!!!

NY has already cracked down on all the dirt bikes and ATV's they confiscated them and crushed them so I hope you all look forward to trying to buy your own bikes back or maybe they'll just pull the batteries and crush them anyway. But it's coming so enjoy it while you can. Duh, it's all he and his group are all about if you watch his vid's you know that which begs the question of why all these other brands bother sending him their bikes when unless he's reviewing all he rides is his Sur Ron. Get a Sur Ron you won't be one of the cool kids unless you do.
What’s funny is theses have to be registered in New York otherwise they are illegal to ride since they are not road legal and people like this will ruin it for everyone else and could cause a ebike ban just like New Hampshire is doing

It’s such a gray area at this point… it does seem like they’re starting to crack down on faster, electric bikes, without pedals
