    Thanks for the vevor review. I personally missed a sale price on a Skil complete with rack and pinion table/fence... they were out of stock. I went back a couple weeks later and found one in the box unmarked. I grabbed a mgr and he scanned it up at $180. The LORD is GOOD! Missed the sale and saved a bunch more! It is not a bosch or dewalt bit it is super for my needs. I learn something from each review i see. Thanks again!

    Between the fence and the blade wobble, this isn't just a bad saw, it's a very dangerous saw.

    Have you considered looking at the rigid 4518? I just picked one up and I’m not sure if I got lucky or not but I’ve had great luck with it and I mainly used it for making tongue and groove boards for a custom cedar fence with zero issue. I’m curious to see if you have the same experience and your thoughts compared to other saws as I only have experience with it and one other ancient table saw

    I got this saw before seeing this review. Two problems, the one you found with the fence, I have to set the alignment to the blade each time the fence is moved and the riving knife is permanently attached so you can't put in a thinner blade. as the riving knife is the thickness of the factory blade.

    Great video again Mike. I am very interested in finding a reasonably priced table saw to work with as a hobby. I did notice that Menard's has a Rikon table saw on sale for $269. It is the RIKON 10" Jobsite Table Saw with Folding Stand and Model Number: 11-600S. If you could possibly review this table saw someday that would be great. I noticed that this saw could possibly be as good as the Skil table saw you reviewed but I wanted to see what you think.

      @MAGAMAN 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A cheap table saw is a dangerous table saw. Spend the money to get something safe, or just don't buy one. The money you save on something like this will be nothing compared to the hospital bills you end up with.

    Another good one, Mike. That saw is no worse than the first Craftsmen I bought about 30 years ago from Sears when I first got home from the Army. It went right back and I resolved myself to spending some real money on the workhorse of the shop. But, if you are making birdhouses for the PTO fundraiser, or have no idea what you are doing yet, this may work. It'll be interesting to see what the safety stats will be on it in the future (oh, who am I kidding?). Good weekend.

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Meat! That fence is bad but I could make it work. Add the wobble and loose housing and it’s too much bad for me. Pushing the budget a little gets you some pretty good options. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend!

  • @Bonjour-World

    The wobbling blade is a feature to cut a wide knerf so that the blade does not get stuck in the material. /S 🙂
    The little brother to this saw is the WEN TT0811 8-1/4 table saw with a 11 Amp motor. Same frame and fence (it also weights about 13 pounds less).
    There are no reviews of the Wen that I can find. Could it be that Vevor hung a 10 Inch saw in a frame designed for a 8-1/4 saw ?

  • @ST-0311
    @ST-0311 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Good review, Mike.
    The wobble is likely form the arbor run-out, and is way out of tolerance for what any table saw should have. If I was on a really tight budget, I could live with the fence. It's a PIA to have to measure at the front and back of the blade before making a cut. But to have a table saw vs. not having one at all I could tolerate it.
    That wobbling arbor is a whole other issue though. With the stress of that much run-out spinning at over 3000 rpm I would have serious concerns that the added wear and tear would some day cause the saw to fly apart. Gives me a creepy Final Destination vibe. Hard pass on this one.

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep I agree. I usually keep all the tools I purchase or are sent to me for future reference and for comparisons. This one’s most likely getting cut in half and put in the alley. Thanks for watching!

  • @2012Viking
    @2012Viking 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Just curious, could the blade wobble be a hardware tightening issue? Maybe the mounts need tightened? Shouldn't need to do that but if that's all it is, it's not a big deal. The fence looked to be about on par with the Ryobi I had and the main reason I upgraded to the Skil (after seeing your review of it, thanks for that one by the way!)

    • @royruther4895
      @royruther4895 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ProjectsForAllReviews The Ryobi table saw is possibly the worst built one out there. The table has one channel. That channel has ridges to hold the cheapest miter guide you've ever seen in place. wobble wobble. The ridges make it impossible to run a sled down the channel. I suppose one could grind off the ridges, but still you would have only one channel. I could name more problems of this horrific table saw, but I'll let you go over them with your review video.
