  • For anyone that's curious about what I'm doing for fitness at the moment - this video breaks it down! I haven't lifted consistently for the past while because I was so focused on Muay Thai but I recently moved really far from my gym so... what better time than now to get back into it? And because I perform best in a competitive setting... why not compete in a local powerlifting competition?

      I don't really track atm to be honest but I will once I get closer to comp!

    As a power lifter do you only train squat bench and deadlift . Also is a full over hand grip ok on deadlift or should I switch to mixed grip

      I'm still relatively new but from my research all your accessory training is to help progress your main three lifts.
      And as for grip if you've got amazing grip strength then feel free to use overhand! I use mixed grip because at heavier weights... My grip gives out. A lot of power lifters use a hook grip but it takes training and can be quite painful at first so I haven't tried it yet.
