Hungarian Vizsla Puppy | First 48 Hours | Video 3

Welcome to my TH-cam channel. I am an absolute grass-routes gun dog enthusiast that wants to show my journey learning how to train gun dogs for field sports in the Scottish Borders.
Rocko is a Wirehaired Hungarian Vizsla and my first gundog which I will train from a puppy. We bought him from a breeder and trainer in Dalston who goes by Dakota Gundogs. Over the coming weeks I will just be having fun with the pup and go through basic training - and in a couple of months, with the assistance of the breeder, training Rocko to fulfil his potential as a working gundog.
Note: Gun dog training and vlogging particularly are new to me, and I am practicing both day to day to create better content.

It was pretty much the same when we got our pup almost 4 years ago. Crying in the car, crying all night but super sweet and cuddly. They're such amazing dogs ❤️

I’m not as strong as you. My sweet Vizsla sleeps with me. She burrows under the covers and keeps my feet warm. They require a LOT of human interaction and that’s fine with me.

WARNING TO POTENTIAL OWNERS! I've owned 2 rottweilers, 1 mutt, 2 parson Russell terriers, 1 mountain cur, 1 treeing cur, and 1 jack Russell terrier in my long life. Now I have a 14 week old vizsla and I have to say the vizsla is the most destructive pup I've ever had to live through. Huge amount of energy that needs to be released on the world. Furniture, clothing, gardens, everything on my table and kitchen, electric wires, my other animals. She is just beginning to slow down, slightly. We have 30 acres for her to destroy. Thank God we're not in an apartment!
