Nope on the mirror. It's just regular glass with silver backing. TG is glass made with a special process. So it breaks in safe chunks and not dangerous shards.
Hi thanks for the tutorial, I have a few question. 1) what type of glue do you use to adhere glass to foundation? 2) if you use resin will it fill in the cracked part of the cracked TG?
Sure. In my online workshop/ course I teach how to use an innovative heat set adhesive called NoDays. It's super quick and easy to use. ... without having to glue each one of those tiny tempered glass pieces!!!
@mosaicsgardenbynancykeating do you have a link? Is it the kiln that does it, not sure I want to get I to it if that is it. But have you tried resin with it?
@@dizydivadesigns if you mean resin as an adhesive..yes. But it is really messy and you have to work quick! Resin as a top coating would not create the contrast you need to make your TG art pop. I really like using NoDays adhesive with the TG. Sooo much easier than putting adhesive on each little tiny piece!!!! I put my glass in used bubble shipping bags and then tap it to crack. The bag then becomes instant storage for the glass chips.
Where do you get tempered glass?
My local glass/ mirror store. And I always ask for free TG that may have been damaged or a wrong order.
Thank you so much!!
Very nice I have one Question 🙋
Do you colour the clear glass? Or you use already coloured glass??
Please tell
No to all. The glass is clear. I teach in the online Workshop how to create the illusion of color or images with underlayment techniques
@@mosaicsgardenbynancykeating oh ok 👌👌 and thank you for replying so quickly
