More on Cocktail grapefruit, including photos and characteristics of the tree here: gregalder.com/yardposts/cockt... My videos on Odysee: odysee.com/@GregAlder:6
There could be some other varieties of grapefruit marketed as "cocktail". I found some about a month ago at a grocer, and the skins were a mixture of green and yellow. The taste was more like lemon custard than the typical pink grapefruit.
Great info. Greg. I've never heard of the Cocktail fruit. I would love to try one. I will look for it at the local food stands. Do you grow the Cocktail? Spring is close and I am looking forward to it. I hope you and your family are well.
Hi Sam, I don't grow it because my neighbor has a big tree and shares tons of fruit with me. (I share avocados in return.) Hope you and your family are doing well too! Thanks!

I have seen those at Sprouts Farmers market.
That's probably true. I imagine also that Cocktails don't achieve the same rind color and flavor in different climates.

NiceWhere did you get your tree from?
Have you seen these available at markets or fruit stands? I would love to try one.
I haven't, sorry. I'll update my website's post on Cocktail if I find them or hear of them being sold anywhere.
I am so glad I planted it. Very sweet, juicy and seedy.
