In this video I talk about my Campbell Valencia orange. It's a great variety to extend your citrus season into the spring and summer months. The juice is of a high quality and tastes delicious.
It depends what you’re solving for. The Hamlin is great for eating fresh, and the Valencia is great for juicing. They taste different but both are very good. If it’s my only citrus tree, I’d pick the Hamlin. If I have more citrus varieties, I’d get the Valencia to extend my season.
It’s hard to say because it depends on how old the plant is when you buy it. If you get a 15 gallon tree, it will fruit right away. I’d guess it probably fruits in the third year since sprouting.
