Love the video! This is the second speedrun I've watched fully, and it's taken a few days. I do have one question: would throwing on a aquatic mobility deco for shara be worth it, or was this an unusually bad shara fight?
If I get it I always use it! Beotodus armor has it on one of the pieces. But the dip in defense is almost never worth it. Its a very comfy skill but I'll take more defense and defensive skills over it every time.

I'm still relatively new to the game, so excuse my ignorance xD how do you chain-stun monsters like that? I can't tell if you're doing a weapon attack, a claw attack or a slingshot unload attack. Doesn't seem like your slingshot ammo is being used, weapon attack drops me to the ground and doesn't push away the monster like that....and claw attack looks different? What am I missing? ahah
So monsters have "hidden conditions" always acting in the background, like the health bar of a part for a part break or the overall condition of the monster to be KO'd, paralyzed, poisoned, etc. These "thresholds" will dictate what condition happens to the monster. If it will trip, stagger, fall over, or even clagger (claw stagger) is all controlled by these hidden values. Teostra's head threshold alternates between a topple and a clagger which is why we can chain them together so well. Hope that helps! I can probably explain it better on stream tho LOL
@JalBagel thank you so much for the explanation! It was really kind of you:) I understand now. I was naively thinking that it might've been some specific combo! I mean, I'd agree with taking offense to ppl modding in armor and weapons. And that's for the sole reason of, those are often the ppl who never actually learned to play the game, and still jump into online game. Same with the ppl going directly into Alatreon, on no upgrade armor. Getting oneshot by every attack, not knowing the fight, hurts everyone playing with them. In turn, someone who never actually had to play the game properly, hurt the people they play with. On decos, I'm with you, tho. I bought the game for PC recently, and I am not going through the grind AGAIN when I did that already on PS. And even if I didn't...there literally no difference between grinding those decos for 3 months (at least for me) and just modding them in. If someone learns more about the game, and plays more, because tehy don't have to deal with the Grinding Lands and Deco grinding, more power to em.
Imo it sounds like your problem isn't with modded equipment but playing with inexperienced hunters. If that's the case, I recommend avoiding Open Lobbies and SOS hunts.
tbh i rather have someone inexperienced mod himself some good armor and trying to beat it "normal" with that, instead of a modder that just 1 shots or something but i get you as long as they dont ruin other peoples fun and gameplay, they should do what they want but l have private lobbies anyway
@@chickenbob562 Yeh, it just ruins the point of MH for me...joining random lobbies to help them, when someone joins in and just dies 3 times to alatreon, and you check their armor...nothing upgraded... And private lobbies don't help against that either, because, if someone goes for SOS and you random join that SOS and the non host ruins it for everybody....eh. And those are often the ppl who mod to compensate for it...maybe...prolly...meh
Surprisingly, yes. Every time I get an upgrade its been a slower run. Monster weapon upgrades tend to take a few hunts to a monster to get, and gathering upgrades aren't upgrades to attack power. So defender is just faster.

@@JalBagel thank you for responding lol I never knew this 🤙🖤
@@brandonwatkins5092 the quest called "dawn's triumph" is an Alatreon with 10k-ish HP, and completing this quest is enough to unlock Fatalis
The quest called "Blazing Black Twilight" has an Alatreon with 52k+ HP iirc
These are solo measurements ofc
Now do this in mhfu

I wanna know how this man is skipping cutscenes.
Cutscene Skip Mod! You can find it on Nexus Mods!
Fatalis% runs with different weapons when? Just bonk them with a HH or something 😂
The category has little competition so you can just keep outdoing yourself!
I've considered it but then I'd have to do MR with a weapon worse than SnS :) MAYBE for a charity goal or something??? I've got a charity event we're planning for October... that could be a good goal!
@@JalBagel "A weapon better than SnS" is a pretty slim category I bet.
@@MK-13337 considering there are none better than SnS, very slim 😔

Youre having fun killing the dragon eh? 😂😂
Yes :3c
@@JalBagel hah nice. I just came bacj to the game and in trying to learn/get good with lance and LS. Raging brachy kicked my ass 😂😂

Can I be included on the giveaway, If I win, a steam code would be the best solution, Physical delivery are mostly delayed or lost
If that's the case, I recommend avoiding Open Lobbies and SOS hunts.
tbh i rather have someone inexperienced mod himself some good armor and trying to beat it "normal" with that, instead of a modder that just 1 shots or something
but i get you
as long as they dont ruin other peoples fun and gameplay, they should do what they want
but l have private lobbies anyway
@@chickenbob562 Yeh, it just ruins the point of MH for me...joining random lobbies to help them, when someone joins in and just dies 3 times to alatreon, and you check their armor...nothing upgraded...
And private lobbies don't help against that either, because, if someone goes for SOS and you random join that SOS and the non host ruins it for everybody....eh.
And those are often the ppl who mod to compensate for it...maybe...prolly...meh

Hey man good job, quick question, is getting a better weapon really slower than using defender and dragonbone throughout the game?
Surprisingly, yes. Every time I get an upgrade its been a slower run. Monster weapon upgrades tend to take a few hunts to a monster to get, and gathering upgrades aren't upgrades to attack power. So defender is just faster.
@@JalBagel ok thank you, btw, what's the best sns for fatalis, the raging brachy one or any of the dragon element ones?
@@dr.bright2446 Raging Brachy is generally ok. PR spam is raw-based damage, so before having the Fatalis SnS, R. Brachy is the best option.
