Not quite sure what Giants was thinking about this, yes they kept it realistic, but if game in SP, you never be able to drive any of the harvesters, except of the one Dewulf that holds (4) crates, but if you use it, you go broke @ $130 a empty pallet, you profit will be gone.
in the game, the only one thing the ridger gives you before seeding is a state of fertilizer, you actually don't need it to start off with, which is the reason why you dont get it when you start a new game.
when you seed without the ridger, the ridges become visible anyway after the seeds germinate, so only reason to invest in the ridger is if you want that free fertilizer state, but its not necessary.
When you were using the small harvester you wouldn't drive over the crop actually like a lot of other root crops you harvest the field in a circular pattern so the auger will always be facing outward and the carting tractors will drive on the parts that's already been harvested
Yeah I guess in real life you'd not flatten the crop, it's defiinitely a slow process

This game… no matter what you plant, it doesn’t change a thing. All the same mechanics
I’m kinda disappointed about the lack of change between 19 and 22.
Hope they massively improve the next one
the ridging machine is a very good addition, really hope they update potatoes so u have to ridge it as well!
Love the animation of the harvesters, especially the beast harvester.
Course play will be very useful with this, Anti clockwise is the kiddy here.

When you are using an old single row harvester. Make a street in the middle of the field, like a tractor wide. Then you dont have to drive on the crop

You probably saw this was released, but it solves a lot of my problems, its 4m, it appears to do about (5) rows and has 25K capacity.

Absolutely love the new map in the expansion the thing that I don't understand is if Giants are going to give you a harvester you can drive and charge over £600.00 for for the price that charging at least they could do is add a grain tank to collect the parsnips carrots and red beets and the width of the harvester's is ridiculous 0.9 metres and the widest isn't much bigger than that I love the map won't be wasting anymore time on the new crops takes way to long love your content my friend keep up the great work I love your let's play series

how do you get harvester to work with the Guidance Steering mod. Cant make it work
You need to offset the path so it aligns with the pickup header on the harvester
Sadly you did not show off how FS22 is doing headland planting now. Looks so much better in the "new" way. i think it's only for rootcrops, And not for maize?

I have premium expansion and PS5. I just downloaded the zielonka map and it doesn't work very well at all. No new crops and you can't even move around on the map. I hope this DLC doesn't suck as bad as the last 2 but I am having suspicions that it might be worse.
Any suggestions?
First time I've heard of no crops showing, have you made sure you version of FS22 has upgraded to the latest version? there was a patch last week in readiness for the expansion.

@@TheFarmSimGuy the DLC HOrsch Aggrovation was the culprit. I just had a gut hunch because that DLC ant been nothing but a headache since I downloaded it. I unclicked it on the game and the game worked just fine.

Hi Saranne 😊 Yeah flat 2d textures are a bit disappointing
The new crops would be cool especially for a small garden by the house, but the inability to remove the placards will keep me from buying this one too.
Great 1st look though
The ridges aren't width'd properly for the planter. @6:20 the 2 left planting arms are in the middle of the ridge but the 2 on the right aren't. Doesn't affect, like how the tools don't actually do what they look like they are a'la the ridger being offlined and the harvester being a single row but if you're offline slightly then it takes 2 rows, anything but it drives me nutty and spoils the immersion for me. It is a shame in the modern gaming that they still have to have seperate working and graphics like that. How hard would it be for them to program it so that the tool, planter or harvester, actually manipulated the ground/crop? Also poor programming to have the worker use the harvester the same as normal instead of taking into account the single sided nature. They should have had it work around the field instead of up and down. For those who have crop damage courseplay is going to be essential.

Hmm - bit of a waste of time having the harvesters then as you’ll just end up having to cart all the time if they’ve no capacity 🤷🏼♂️
A lot of harvesters don't have capacity. Hence why you get auger wagons and the like.
@@pegasusted2504 yes totally understand that but what I’m saying is from a sim player perspective, unless you’re on multiplayer you’ll never really get to drive the harvester as it’ll always need a driver to cart the crop 🤷🏼♂️
@@simon737unless you use AutoDrive or Courseplay to run the unload tractor and then you can drive the harvester (if on PC anyway)

@@simon737 well you can hire a worker to do the harvesting and do the carting yourself. Also, you could use the follow me mod and have it offset to line up with the pipe so you can drive the harvester. You could also use the courseplay mod to do the job and also the autodrive mod does the same thing. Finally you can use the in built giants helper to do the unloading as well. There are lots of ways to do what you need. :~)
