I have CIU too. After seeing multiple allergist and taking multiple medications over the years that never really worked, I gave up and chose to just suffer for several years thinking there was nothing that could be done. You shared your story when my CIU was the worst it’s ever been. I wasn’t sleeping because of it and my mental health was suffering. You motivated me to go back to an allergist and try Xolair. I hate needles, so I always put off trying it, but your experience with trying it gave me the push to try it too. Thankfully, it’s been working. I take Prednisone and Hydroxyzine when needed and take Fexofenadine it the morning for now as I build up the Xolair in my system. Thank you for sharing your story. It’s truly helping people. Best of luck to you on your continued journey with CIU.
Just waking up in a seal of hives made me realize how bad they are. I got to know about Doctor Iyhere medical herbal mixtures on youtube online. And every since I started taking them, the hives have dried up.
As someone with severe chronic fatigue due to depression, I'm so glad you got your energy back. I know how hard it can be to watch others live their life's while you just barely manage to keep yourself afloat.
I completely agree! Chronic fatigue due to depression is awful. Even the times I want to do things, I can't because I can't get out of bed because I just need to sleep and then miss out on so much
I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue due to depression and despite my snri putting my depression and anxiety into remission I was still absolutely exhausted 24/7. I decided to do a ton of research on all of my symptoms both physical and emotional. I requested blood tests to test my vitamin D, B12, and iron. Despite being under the care of many doctors and a psychiatrist I was extremely deficient in all of them. My doctor even chuckled when I asked for these tests. He said that testing D and B12 isn’t common… bull crap in my opinion. I’ve been supplementing D, B12, and iron for a year and my levels are on the low end of normal/healthy. I took a 2 hour nap yesterday but for the last week and a half I haven’t napped at all and have tons more energy. If your psychiatrist hasn’t discussed nutritions role in mental health, ask them about it. If they blow you off I recommend being assertive or finding a new psychiatrist. I literally had every symptom of being deficient and shared all my symptoms and still had to push to get tested. My doctor opened the test results in front of me and acted like he did me a favor by ordering the tests. I was so angry and I told him that if I had left it up to him I would continue to suffer. Days later I got a letter in the mail telling me that due to how far away his office is from my home he recommends I find another doctor. I wrote a letter to the board of directors listing what had happened and I made sure it went in my file along with my doctor’s letter.

YES YES YES! The moment I read “worked” I almost cried happy tears. This has been a grueling journey for you. Im so glad these things are working but I truly hope they can get to the bottom of it so you don’t have to take so much medication especially that nightmare inducing one 😳
I might have it. I see a dermatologist next week & I've been suffering for only months can't imagine years. I'm so glad this video came up & gives me hope. Wishing everyone the best!

Chris, I know we don't know each other, but you really have been in my thoughts during this health journey. I'm so relieved to hear you're feeling better!! Spending warm thoughts for continued health your way.
I take montelukast for my asthma and I never realized it was the reason for some of my nightmares. Thanks to you talking about that in a previous video, I changed from taking it at night to in the morning and it has helped me immensely.
If you have your health ,you have everything....nobody understands that more than those of us who do not have our health...i'm happy they finally have your health issues sorted out....I'm glad you're feeling better 😊💜🙏
Praise God! Christopher, you are so deserving of a beautiful healthy life because you have beautiful blessings to live for. May God continue to bless you and anyone reading this with an abundance of health and happiness. Keep the faith. 🙏🏻❤️
I am going through a lot right now. I started having problems with my period a year and a half ago. Watching Jessica share about her struggle with PCOS and seeing how God has blessed her with not one, but SIX children gives me a little bit of hope for my future. I’m 19 and undergoing hormone testing to see if I can narrow down what’s really going on with me. Love your positive videos. Thank you so much!
Happy to see that Xolair is working for you! I’ve been getting injections for a year and I’m still getting pretty regular patches of hives and swollen lips every other week 😭
I was recently diagnosed with chronic idiopathic urticaria. I'm currently on allegra twice a day, 2 atarax at night, and singulair in the morning. I have weird, vivid dreams too, I always remember them when I wake up. I'm still having some itchy attacks so I'll probably start Xolair soon. I have so many other illnesses so this is just something else I have to deal with which sucks. I am happy you're feeling better, I hope I'll feel better soon.
As someone who deals with head to toe inverse psoriasis, plaque psoriasis and intertrigo, I fully understand how it feels. I recently had an allergic reaction to clindamycin and broke out in hives head to toe. I already itch so much from my psoriasis that it didn't feel any different. I take hydroxyzine, pepcid, cetirizine, and benadryl at night. I feel your pain. I'm so glad something is finally working for you! I'm currently waiting to hear from the specialty pharmacist to get my biweekly shot FINALLY after 5 agonizing years of itching and hating my body because of how it looks.
i still cant begin to understand how awful its been for you. i had hives for a few months caused by a laundry detergent. i was so miserable. it took massive amounts of benedryl to finally get rid of them. my hives were small itchy red dots all over but not my face or hands and feet. im glad you are finally doing better. finally.
I currently take doxepin only for my chronic hives, after hitting dead ends with many trials of medication. I have been hive free for almost 2 years now, and it feels great. Im so happy you have found some relief in this journey, and hearing your story makes me feel less alone in mine!
So pleased to see this update, illness that has an impact on quality of life is a slog, it really sucks. Watching life continue from the sidelines isn't fun. Really good to see you smiling & talking about getting back to your norm. Long may it continue.
You guys are the most genuine family channel. It’s so obvious that y’all post for your own memories, and not just pushing content. So many people now are overly exploiting their families, but you accept your family’s privacy when it’s needed and don’t try to out do yourselves. Thank you for health updates, been praying for all of you. And thank you for sharing your memories we love watching everyone grow 🥰
Xolair helped me! I have been going every 4 weeks for the last year for injections. I only had 1 or 2 flairs in the beginning. I am now phasing off and am at 7 weeks since my last injection and feel great! In the beginning it was so frustrating, depressing and exhausting. Fingers crossed for no relapses. Good luck to you on finding the right treatment combination for lasting relief.
I’m so happy you’re making progress. Unfortunately sometimes the medicines that help one condition can cause another. Extreme fatigue is very common. But you look great and so glad you’re doing much better. 🥰💖
Christopher! I am so happy for you! And I’m so proud of you for keeping fighting, even if fighting was taking a nap! It really sounds like you have days where you feel like you again! I’m so glad you are treasuring them! I’m also glad the nightmares are tamed some. Love to you, Jessica, and the kids!! ❤️
My son has been on montelukast for asthma prevention for years. Never heard of the dream connection! I’m glad you’re feeling better. It took me 2 years to control my urticaria precipitated by an environmental exposure!
Fantastic news. God is good. I am so glad to hear your doing better. I will continue to pray for a complete cure. It's so great to see you smiling. Thank you for the update.
I am so excited for not just you but the whole family! I suffer from chronic illness so i feel some of your pain of not being to experience life and when you are feeling well just breathing it all in! The world is so much more beautiful when you see it through eyes that weren’t able to experience it for a while! Cant wait for the camping videos i have always loved those!
It made my heart so happy to see you feeling better, Christopher!! As someone that lives with chronic pain and illness, your life is drained away when you’re not feeling well. I hope you continue to improve!!😃
As someone with another chronic illness, I'm so so glad you found something that is working!!!!!!!!! It took me more than a year. It can really make you feel alone and left behind
So great to hear! I'm in the process of trying to get the right mix of medications for my epilepsy so I know it can take a long time to get the right meds. Glad something finally clicked for you!
Really happy to hear this update! I’m months into my own severe eczema battle - last night I had one of the worst nights ‘sleep’ (nightmares, sweating, itching, eyes won’t close..). I have hope that I’ll sleep through again one day but the lack of sleep from the itching and meds are taking a toll x

Yes! I'm so glad you found something that worked! Your journey reminded me of Jacob having random mysterious rashes when he was little, and makes me wonder if that has any connection with what you've been suffering with and if it could be useful to finding a diagnosis.
Hearing about your health improvements, Chris, has made me feel like you described, “a breath of fresh air.” So glad for you being able to get back to your life as I remember. Looking forward to future Ballinger Family vlogs!!
So very thankful that you have found a regiment of medicine that is working for you & that you are feeling so much better. I can’t believe there is someone else who has suffered like my daughter. I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this. I’m happy you have found something that helps. The Zolair is my daughters next step but so far she has found a med that has helped her and she has been able to get off some of the others. Sending hugs to you all and I hope Zolair continues to fight the hives for you.
I almost cried tears of joy watching this video. You’ve been in my thoughts ever since you opened up about your condition and the suffering you have been facing. I can’t imagine how painful it must’ve been to not be able to fully be there for your partner and family due to your health, and it makes me so happy that you’re feeling better!
So so happy you are feeling better, finally! When you gave health updates earlier just felt so sorry for you, especially since you didn't know when or if you would get better.
Thank you for posting an update. It doesn’t sound very nice having allergies as you do. I can only imagine getting bitten by a mosquito and be extremely itchy for four days. Having that last as long as your allergies for me would be unbearable. It’s amazing to see that you’re not giving up, your positive attitude, and the way your family supports you. All the very best. Mary (Education Assistant, Canada)
I’m glad to hear you are starting to feel better❣️ I can’t wait to see the house. So exciting you are getting back to feeling more like yourself and pain free and about to be back in your home.
Awesome news Christopher!! So glad you are feeling better and found some relief!! Looking forward to seeing you, Jessica, and the family getting back to your house and for awesome new summertime family memories!!! ☀️💓✨💓✨☀️
I'm so glad your team of docs have figured out a medicine cocktail that's giving you your life back! I can't wait to see what's to come with the family, especially the house renovations! Take care of yourself and your beautiful family!
How amazing you have been through this season of your life! House renovations, illness, adjusting in a new place! That is a lot. You’ve remained positive and hopeful. I strive to be a great example to my child as you are to yours ❤️ can’t wait to see camp vlogs!!
So happy to hear that you feel better, I can't imagine having to struggle so much. My daughter and I also gets random hives, I haven't had her tested but it's mostly when she rubs on new clothes that haven't been washed, or surfaces that haven't been cleaned. So I just make sure she never wears clothes that haven't been washed first and so it's manageable. So happy you seem to have it under control, I miss watching gifted guitars hope to see that content soon.
So happy for you! :) Immediately when the video started I could see you have that wonderful light back! You're such a positive & bubbly person, it hurt my heart to see you hurting & exhausted. So glad you've found a good combo & pray it continues to get better for you! ❤🤗

So so happy you are feeling better, finally! When you gave health updates earlier just felt so sorry for you, especially since you didn't know when or if you would get better.
So so happy that you are getting relief. Your happiness is apparent and your whole family must be ecstatic!

Did anyone see the humming bird? (10:17) Glad you are feeling better!
I didn't. Thanks for the time mark. I went back and saw it!
Thank you so much for sharing your life fun times and hard times with us 🥰☀️💜♥️ Love you Ballinger Family
Phew!!!!! That’s mostly great news!!! Keep on keeping on💜
So happy to hear that you feel better, I can't imagine having to struggle so much.
Christopher!! I’m so glad you’re feeling better!! 🙌🏼🫶🏻🥰 what an answer to prayer ☺️
I totally understand your desire to keep the uploads consistent as well as continue to document your kids growing up. What about more unedited vlogs?
