A few hards days on this one but you brought us an epic bike pack. Loads of great shots and team work in there to. Enjoying your company - glad to have found your channel. Full view. Mark
Hey Alex, Yeah was a tough trip! My friend has just got back from the Old Ghost Road and sounded amazing! Will be adding it to my ever growing list, haha
Just for strong men. Epic and amazing. But so difficult and I think sometimes stressful for the steep climbing and for the backpack. I felt the pain watching you guys... 👍
Thanks, yeah was a tough and stupid trip, and the backpack was super heavy but did give a place to rest the bike. Such remote and beautiful landscapes to see though
One of the best hiking vids I've seen... Seriously though, it's about the endeavour and not the destination, surely? And finally, what inspired your choice of footwear? (Hehehe.)
Haha, yeah a large percentage of walking :-) Yes walking on boulders the size of small huts with spd shoes on also made it very interesting. There was a part we didn't film where we had to climb a landslide, the scariest moment of my life!
Thanks Mark. Yes, I find it tough at times and my mate hated me at times as this was my brilliant idea. But the more I do it, the stronger my mind becomes. This trip was just after Iceland, so mentally I was stronger for this trip, so just get on with it.
Having walked the route in 2004 can appreciate how hard it was to take a bike along - some more demanding sections than the TMB - especially on your route 😉
Thanks so much Graham, yes this was not our best route Idea, and very much an over sight in the planning of this trip, but will still say it was an incredible experience.
Haha, Yes it was on purpose but with a little under researching ;-) I had done the Tour of Mont Blanc and assumed many of the passes would be similar, but they are not, it is a very high pass route. There is a holiday company that does a route, but goes on trails a lot lower down. But since this trip there seems to be a lot more mtb action in Zermatt and especially after the enduro series went there, so should be more route information available
Haha, Maybe just do the Tour of Mont Blanc :-) (new film of my trip doing it coming soon) But seriously I think if we had done the normal TMB route from Trient, and done a pass around from Verbier, I think the pass towards the end is more doable, but I really don't know. I'm my thoughts there is only one way to find out (and a stupid way) just go do it, oh and let me know
Barry Godin Thanks for your uploads, they’re really good, I want to do the haute route, I don’t mind doing a bit of bike hiking, but that might be a little to much, thanks for the info!! 👍👍
You have some great content and I have enjoyed the few I have watched but for gods sake man, tighten your helmet strap. If you were to fall off there's no way that would stay on your head
Christ, that was some serious hike a bike! Impressive stuff there Barry.
Yes, very very serious! thanks very much Graham :-)

Not for the faint hearted. You should get yourself to NZ South Island and ride the Old Ghost Road.
Very well filmed and edited as usual.

Thanks for the beta, I won’t be trying that one ! Great vid just the same , do you ever get the hump? Or don’t you film those bits !!

Very epic. What camera gear did you use. Footage looks great
Hey, thanks so much Scott, yes that was an epic trip! It is shot just on an old Iphone :-)
Very impressive, mtb pushed to it’s limits.
Thank you very much Andrew, putting the 'mountain' into mountain biking :-)

Epic! Did you take this route really on purpose? I am trying to figure our your route esp how to get to Zermatt across the high peaks there.

Sat researching this trip, which leads me to ask, is there a better route? Sorry, obvious question...

Not one for the gravel bike then?
Haha, well gravel bike would be lighter to carry :-)
Wow~~~~Yah, I knew you are CRA~~ZY~~ man. Wait a sec.. actually I knew a Canadian guy that climb mountains with Bike.
Thanks, maybe a little crazy :-)
Good effort! Flipping daft idea, like, but good effort nonetheless!
Haha, thanks very much Tom

Thank you so much! Yes that Giro strap had a right tendancy to loosen off with out me knowing, thank you so much for looking after me :-)
