Montana is one of, if not THE, best battleship in the whole game, 12 Iowa guns, great range, and powerful armor.
So, naturally, peek hates it 😂

Yamato is still the undoubted king. Only thing that comes somewhat close is conqueror but even then yamato is gonna win that battle most time.

I run Hyde on my Montana build. It puts my Montana up to 94,220 health. Gives it more longevity. I’d also run emergency specialist. Most of the time your enemies are 18 km at most, in my experience, so there’s no reason to buff the range anymore than with flammable cannonier or the flag. Other than that our builds are the same. I also recently maxed my scharnhorst. So I have a total of -25% dispersion. Next I’m maxing Hyde so my max potential Montana health would be 95,180. This build will never change and it’s the one I’ve fine tuned to the way I play Montana.
I run just a dispersion build and I love my accuracy
Emergency specialist has gotten me killed too many times getting set on fire or flooded immediately after the shorter duration of Immunity ends.
@@SpartanElite43 totally agree with you. I just learned to wait and watch what happens before I damage con. Although there are times where I miss the 20 second duration over the 6 second duration that emergency specialist provides. I played against you peek and Aaron in the last arena event. Unfortunately I didn’t kill your conqueror. Out of respect ✊. I left you battered to bejesus though.

Montana is the best rounded ship there is, you just can't give that broadside up. If you learn to angle it you can use all 4 guns with ease. She actually is a great brawler too alot of people miss that ability about it. Never go bow on to a yam or they can punch right through the the upper deck and right into the citadel. Also you had a clean shot as his citadel before you tried the drive by located under the second turret there's a cheek to shoot that's auto pen with Montana guns
Kansas does pretty well, same broadside to my understanding maybe the caliber is different I’m not to well informed with the exact specifications. Hopefully WG will continue to release great ships not just DDs in my opinion to many of them in premium and legendary, I just unlocked Stalingrad couple weeks ago and I’m loving all of it. I’m also very excited to see “Colbert” I think that’s how it’s spelled lol.

Did anyone notice that there is a TARDIS located near the carousel?
I used to use the steering mod on all my BBs but have recently changed to propulsion. Gets them out of the gate faster for that initial turn if needed and out of trouble at times with a stop to full speed juke.

None of the Montana-Class were ever laid down, however the 5 planned Montanas were USS Montana (BB-67) USS Ohio (BB-68) USS Maine (BB-69) USS New Hampshire (BB-70) USS Louisiana (BB-71). Interesting fact, Ohio is on the PC version of World of Warships, she is armed with 8x456mm guns, hopefully one day we will see her on Legends 😀

If I remember correctly the Montana was actually be made, but then was stopped after seeing how good aircraft carriers were.

Unlocked it Thursday and love it.Tried various commanders .Settled on Sims,Sharny,Cunningham.Tried the fast reload guys,but lost to much accrucey.
At least according to Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana-class_battleship) when the Montana was being designed, and before the class was suspended following the Battle of Midway, the Navy planned in conjunction with the class to add a third set of locks to the Panama Canal to enable ship designs like the Montana and her sisters to be able to pass through. The locks would've also been armored and normally reserved for Navy warships. Work on the new locks would cease owing to a shortage of steel due to changing priorities.
One of the reasons no ship of the class was ever constructed is that their planned Shipyards on the east coast were already busy building Iowa-class battleships and the Essex-class carriers with construction of the Montana-class being canceled in July of 1943.

Hey Spartan Elite enjoy your channel I love your commentary and thoughts on the different warships and vessels in the game yeah the Montana is special I mean you hit the nail on the donkey there I was just noticing a lot of your comments by your Watchers and subscribers you do the Montana's may not have been constructed and completed but there design was used as a basis for the Midway class of aircraft carriers that followed the midways inherited the hull geometry and if you're curious you should look the Midway up it's literally a living Montana or blood relative to the ship it's as close as we ever got to it :)

Technically you could use all 6 spotter planes, but you’d need John Luke Pickup as an inspiration which is a wasted slot

The hull was never lay down construction had never begun with The Montanas they were approved they were authorized they were design and construction was scheduled the plan but not a single piece of metal was ever laid down at a shipyard or dry dock now the Midway class carriers inherited The Montanas Hull geometry but they weren't a conversion know from the moment the Keel was laid down the Midway and her siblings were intended to be aircraft carriers the Montana's died on the drawing board as unfortunate as it is I would have liked to have seen them fabricated but the same thing should have happened to Yamato and Musashi the age of Canon was over in the age of aircraft was upon us
Bruh I was in an amagi and the Yamato was 8 km from me I use the spotter plane for better dispersion and literally got one pen and the Yamato dev strike me

It's unorthodox but. It brings Iowa down to roughly 14 to 15 sec. Pending if I run Marksman or not.

At 33:53 how did your 1 pen and 1 overpen do over 10k damage? 🤔
1 full pen can seemingly be a random number between 1441 and the citadel max number. Usually around 7-9k and then the overpen is usually 1441

The Americans designed Montana to beat what they thought was Yamato. In fact, the real Yamato was much more powerful than what the Americans estimated. Imagine if the US Navy knew the true specifications of Yamato, Montana would be even more powerful

I'm at the 9th segment of the Montana about to go to 10th and I'm at the 10th segment of Alaska about to go 11. I should have both before the end of the month. I know I shouldn't have rented both but I really wanted to see how they do.
I want proof of the range thing with the maps, because the orientation that you are looking changes the range, try it.
Look at max range off of your flat broadside then look at max range strait off of your bow and see the range values change. Make a post with to convince me of your point.

Alabama has more accurate guns I think, and I know Massachusetts has really good secondaries. I've got a hybrid build on mine, and the secondaries have like a 10km range, and they hit their target consistently.
Alabama is more of a sniper mid range ship and Mass is a Closer range brawler both are great just depends on how you like to play

Iowa and Montana have 406mm mark 7 50 caliber guns and I think Kansas has 406mm mark 7 45 caliber guns.

According to what I've read the Americans had arguably the best torpedo protection out of simple nessessity since they were trying to defend against arguably the best torpedo in the war, the Japanese "long lance". I've never heard anyone say that Iowa had poor torp defense.
It's pretty well known that Iowas had poor protection for their size due to the width constraints because wanting to fit through the Panama canal

According to what I've read Iowa has similar torp protection to North Carolina, that is, adequent for "normal" torpedoes. However, the US did not know just how powerful the long lance was and so, in theory, a long lance could overcome the torp defense on an Iowa or most battleships for that matter. But it dosn't follow from that that Iowa, in particular, had poor torpedoe defense. I would characterize it as average or standard torpedo defense for an American battleship at the time she was built.
She also had nearly as thick armor as Bismark but also inclined, which improved it's apparent angle to incoming shells.

Maybe the bridge is a Draw Brdge?.... No idea If not maybe they can Flood some compartments to lower how much of the ships is above the water.

whats the difference between scharnhorst and cunningham as inspirations?
Scharnhorst makes the overall circle the shells can land in smaller making it more accurate, Cunningham changes the grouping of the shells meaning more shells stay closer to one another.
I strongly recommend you us both so you can get the ultimate accuracy out of your Battleship if you prefer a full dispersion build.

They need to buff the damage control mod make it -25% to all effect duration and -10% to all damage this would make bb some what brawl again or -25% duration and -25 effect damage. As it stands right now no one uses it
