Don't know if you thought about it but your programs are good for the shut-ins. This was when moral living was taught. Not saying people then weren't as evil as today but at least it wasn't upheld . Doing a great job here.
@eddieboggs8306 I wholeheartedly agree with your comment! The entertainment that H&H provides certainly helps when home bound, especially if one is not feeling the best. Thanks H&H (especially when you have time stamps) !! 💜
All other shows dealing with killings get yuky into the gory, gruesome stuff. For me, those details are not entertainment, and unnecessary pictures, without adding a thing important or necessary. Now it's commonplace in films, tv. A good writer can imply without describing details.
The proof that Dan Duryea was a fantastic actor is he was so different from the unsavory characters he often portrayed. He was married for 35 years to his wife, Helen, until her death in January 1967. Duryea lived a quiet life devoting himself to gardening, boating, and community activities including, at various times, active membership in the local parent-teacher association and Scout Master of a Boy Scout troop
The first movie I saw with Dan Duryea was "Sahara" from 1942. It's one of my all-time favorite films. Duryea plays a sympathetic American soldier, so it was jarring for me to see him play the role of a bad guy!
Attempted to log in under my $1 monthly membership. No luck. .....Tried using the "forgot password" option (though I have not forgot the password). Monthly deduction still coming out of my checking account (which I still wish to do). Love your program, especially since you have eliminated so much of the extra music between episodes, commercials for blowup toys, cigarette highlights,, etc. Having all the shows flow together keeps the mind from wandering away from the plot.

@@HearthandHomeEntertainment bummer! I wonder if the Duryea FAMILY have copies of his radio shows, audio, scripts, etc.. Mr. Duryea was one of the best, deserved an OSCAR
I LOVE OTR PERIOD. But damn terrible episode/scene .... the part where he makes the "culprit" pick up the gun and "HAND IT TO HIM" for me not "cool" !?...... Still love OTR 👍
Love these shows. Being stuck in bed these shows take my mind off the stress of being sick. Thanks
Rest and Heal Soon.!
Thanks !

Very different to other radio plays, but I liked it. Remember Dan Duryea as a fine actor
I have always loved Dan,he has that sarcastic attitude but he is so slick about it. He always gets his murderer
Loved Dan as China Smith.

Not quite 3:35:18 as lighthearted as other shows, but I came to like it. Great character
Yeah, homicide is never "lighthearted ". Couldn't be, could it.
Many murder mysteries/shows are comical in nature. This particular one isn't. @@doreekaplan2589

Very good person thank you for the 6
Lou Dana ❤ sometimes he makes my eyes sting😢
Does anyone have ALL of the recordings from "The Man From Homicide" ?
It was a short lived series, But in my opinion, one of the best.
These are all of the episodes known to exist. Would love it if more were found!

Duryea's nickname in the trade was "The heel with sex appeal," since he usually played the bad guy!
Now I have to Google 😂
Have a good night
Will you be putting up the rest of these shows? You named this one episode 4, qas that a typo as this is the first one?
It's episode 4 in the Old Time Radio Show series, it's also a podcast. Thanks for tuning in!
''Don't wait up for Lucile, ... she's dead''

This hillbilly very good condition tonight
First time listening to Dan Duryea as a tough guy from the Homicide Squad. I'll take Johnny Dollar every day of the week. This was really bad.
Yup
It's a lot darker for sure, and I find it's an acquired taste.
Not me! Which actor do you like for Johnny? There were eight different men portraying Johnny Dollar.
@@doreekaplan2589Bob Bailey, without doubt. It was his part for sure.
