Fantastic video and some beautiful drone footage. Sadly, the line did not survive long enough for it to become a preserved steam line - that would have been fabulous!
So many West country branch lines lost. However, the interest seems to be increasing. As long as videos such as this promote their history I think you could argue that they will never die. Who knows if a passion for revival continues into the future, some may be reborn. Slim chance maybe, but never say never. The heritage movement has been nothing short of miraculous.
Another fantastic video. I've walked the trackbed many times and enjoyed this very much. By the way, your superimposing of the old photos on the current landscape was very effective. 😊
If it were running now, how much better would the transport in the area be? Less cars etc................could it be..................no HS2 reigns supreme!!!!!

Wouldn't it just? So much potential there!

Looks like it could be reinstated fairly easily once net zero kicks in
Thanks for this excellent video which I thoroughly enjoyed watching!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It really motivates me to keep creating content!
I live in Plymouth and always wandered where the old lines went to. Great video
Thanks ever so much for watching

thank you so much for this
You're very welcome!
Was'nt there a train snowed-in
during the Great Blizzard of 1892 - or was it 1893?
How much of the track bed can you walk along. What a fantastic train ride through such scenic landscapes.
Pretty much all of it right from Princetown down to Yelverton - its a great walk with stunning views
No mention of the transport of naughty boys to Princetown's most prominent building, HMP Dartmoor .
That's an interesting point! The transport of naughty boys is definitely a significant part of the history surrounding HMP Dartmoor.
