Admirable !

    That tristan chord is so magnificent. Its euphoric and dysphoric at the same time. Its life in a way. Wagner is genius and this pianist performs this well.
    Well done.

    Wagner, simply how to fill every line, without trying hard, simply being heart full. I cannot keep on listening to this. I just imagine the first time he played in the summer of 65. Imagine the reaction of the amazing cult and rich people people, listening to the end of the the prelude, just to enter the next 90 minutes. Of simply gods sent notes.

    Très beau, mais ce n'est absolument pas une transcription, plutôt une re-création à partir de Tristan. Trop d'ajouts et pas assez proche du texte original et de son esprit, comme peut l'être la transcription de Kocsis. Cela n'enlève rien à la beauté de l'oeuvre ni çà la qualité de l'interprétation.

    At the same time i imagine mozarts boring court. Applauding his valses. The boring case of extoling a young, truthfully talented, but arrogant brat

      @@spi-phiquotes3923 The absence of the orchestra makes it sound hollow, abrupt and not as melancholic as it is supposed to sound. As much as i like the piano and the sounds that can come from it, this piece was not made for the piano.

    • @marsfuture
      @marsfuture 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Nate-yr6du The abruptness is this pianist's interpretation. I agree that I find it somewhat overbearing in parts, as he clearly withholds some legato for artistic purpose, but I feel this particular transcription one of the most suitable ones for piano of any Wagner transcriptions. If even Liszt's own transcriptions sound ridiculous (Tannhäuser ouverture, lol, it's just a silly hammer fest) then paraphrasing for piano ought better be left unattempted. In the Tristan prelude, however, I feel it works sublimely.
      And I feel that, apruptness aside, Marin's interpretation here is sublime and really stunning.
