hey, i have found the reset button following your tutorial thank you, but when i press it before giving it the electric power it will do nothing, the box will not turn on it will keep the red dot, while pressing it after getting the x96q logo will load the android loading screen for ever, what i am missing i can't seem to fix it.

x96 air is a good android tv box but has a big design flaw! It suffers from overheating. Had the pcb card inside been turned upside down with a heatsink on the processor and a fan, this would have been a good box.
but when the processor is on the underside you get problems. it also has a too thick heatsink pad that does not transfer heat as quickly.
I did a performance test between the Huawei Honor 8 and the X96 Air. honor8 was surprisingly much faster! so the processor in x96 air or many cheap android boxer does not have that fast processor
Remote does not work, is there any other way to scroll and select in the menu
you can use computer maus or other Bluetooth keyboard

You could jusy have backed up your apps with their dats and your general data to an external drive, SD card or cloud storage for later reinstall.
I wiped the data and chache but it is not Rebooting.
