The way you described blending dark toward light and then light toward dark to clean it up really clicked with me. It seems like such a “duh” thing now that you’ve explained it like that. You never know what little bits of info will be an epiphany for someone. Thank you.
Greg describes the blending so easy and relaxing
Probably one of the most stellar how-to videos that I have seen in my 15 years on youtube!! Thank you Greg!
Hell yeah. Needed this for my newest commission.
Absolutely mesmerizing to watch you paint so beautifully.
🙏🙏
Thank you for taking the time and giving directions🤓. Others have demonstrated too quickly with a “just do it” attitude. You explain how. Again, thanks😘
I love how there's always a vidio just for you with the right pacing. If it won't for you I wouldn't be able to pass art class thank you
This could easily be an ASMR video. I'm incredibly relaxed, even though I have a project to finish.
When the euphoria ends you will panic.
This turned me on tbh
I’ve seen recommendation that you run a wash brush (or others) back & forth over some painter’s tape or masking tape (something around that strength) to remove some of those loose bristles, so perhaps if others are suffering from that shedding as the paint gets stickier, that will help out. I found that tip while learning how to varnish & finish paintings, so in those situations you’re often using way cheaper, shoddier (perhaps even single use, disposable dollar store quality brushes), but I’m sure the same applies very generally.
Great blending didn't realise how easy it is
Good video mate. Just started painting this year. Just playing around. I was curious about acrylics. This helps. Greetings from Scotland.
Amazing blending 🤩
Excellent! Thank you for showing us your lovely work. Greetings 🙂
This is a huge help, thanks man!
Thank you cause now i overcomed my fears of painting bad on a canvas
lol...no wonder I got so frustrated in trying to blend my Acrylic paints I wanted to throw the canvas outside and run it over with my car....Very difficult!!!!
haha hope it helped
@@GregLowmanArt lol..ya I got it...thanks
Lol I've had similar emotions
😂😂..my feelings exactly!
😂😂😂😂😂 i actually BROKE my canvas yesterday hahahahahahaah
Прекрасно!!! 👍
Do you apply gesso to the canvas beforehand?
Grazie per l'ottimo video!👏👏👏
My acrylic dries very quickly. I live in a hot climate. Do some acrylics dry quicker than others?
I've found them all to dry in about the same time. Try some slow-dri amzn.to/3GhL5gc mixed in your paint and add a bit more water.
Thank you for your expertise as mine always ends up muddy looking😢
thank you this is great i love painting
Платната ти излъчват светлина, гласът ти - топлина💓
Thank you!
I’m transitioning from watercolors to acrylics & blending was the most difficult. Hope this will help
Me too, I've used acrylics in the past but got so use to watercolour so I was trying use acrylic in the same way 😂 but this video makes so much sense
My paint dries out too quickly to do this, even with adding retarder. I live in a very dry climate. I see you’ve got a link to another blending technique so I’ll check it out. Thank you for your videos 🙏😊
Thanks sir 🙏 ❤
Thank you. I was getting so frustrated with blending lol.
what will happen if I get the brush just a little wet while blending at last, coz it was so dried up...?
Usually the bristles will split and streak your painting. Adding some water or slow-dri amzn.to/3GhL5gc to your paint during the application step will be your best bet. Keeping the wash brushes completely dry at the end is the key. This is a little different approach that may make it easier: th-cam.com/video/9h1fO5ih7sI/w-d-xo.html
What if it is already dry before u get the chance to erase all those brushstreaks??
This is a different blending technique that will give you some more time th-cam.com/video/DjSVF9EUDbs/w-d-xo.html and adding slow-dri amzn.to/3GhL5gc to your paint will also help
Are wash brushes also called something else?
I'm sure they have a few names, but "wash brush" seems to be the most common
I’m gonna do that
Why didn’t you mist it when it was drying up?
it didn't really need it - don't want to add too much water
@ fair enough..only cos I watched a video and she misted…thank you
I was actually doing the same colour blending 🥰
thank you for this
My acrylic separates on the acrylic paper and don’t blend. What gives?
It’s pretty tough to blend on paper - this works best on canvas. It could also be the brand of paint or too much water.
awsome i love my basics paints ,i love watercolors too this is a good lesson ,thank you
I need some help I don’t know how to do it😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
