Her not seeing a big yellow school bus is actually concerning. They specifically made school buses an orangish yellow to be more noticeable. Imagine if a kid had to cross that street. Let me guess the excuse "i didn't see no kid"
I will speculate some of the more likely reasons why she didn't see the school bus. She was ether driving distracted because of her phone or car radio. Or was too impatient to stop and wait.
Once upon a time school buses did not have to yellow flashing lights either. Those were added many years ago to give drivers a heads up. I think the only thing that's going to get their attention is a very still fine.
@@prestonm.64 A standard school bus (or at least the ones in the districts I drove for) were 35ft. There were some 45ft buses that were transit styled (flat nose), but I didn’t drive a 45ft bus until I hopped in motorcoach buses.
It's been a while that i had to stop for a school bus, or got stuck in traffic at a school zone. But to be fair, i do most half of my driving these days during the late morning, noon, and evening hours, when students aren't being picked up or dropped off.
I spent 32 years repairing and maintaining school buses. This was a constant problem for our drivers. The local sheriff would follow the school buses in an unmarked car and loved to catch people running the stop signs and he would throw the book at them. Sometimes they even caught school district officials running the stop signs! WTF! They always made the evening news when that happened. LOL.
Oh, yeah. Ohio DOES work school zones. As an over-the-road driver I tried to time it so I missed running back roads after people got up or mid afternoon. In Kansas a lot of school zones are active ALL DAY long.
i can see why she thought it'd be ok to keep going since the bus was moving for a while even w\ it's lights on, and the other cars drove by w\o issue, but yea the bus looked like it flashed red right before she crossed
Thank you. Seams to me she was in a hurry hope she got big fine. hell I got 260 dollar speed ticket for 15 over liemt I was in hurry because I had shit😂
Did you pay attention to the video at all, or just do you just suffer from the chronic and terminal condition called ignorance? First of all, the driver was a female. Not male. Secondly, the bus driver had their yellow flashing lights on before they stopped for quite a while before they had their red flashing lights on. This gave the offender a long time to get the hint that the bus driver was about to come to a stop AND that the bus driver was about to display their red flashing lights and stop sign, which if you were clueless... it means you should stop. On the bright side, you and her have something in common. Maybe you could go on a date and talk about how many school busses you've illegally blown by with their stop arm out and flashing red lights that just make it so darn difficult to pay attention and come to a complete and appropriate stop.

I bet she was on her phone.
Unless you are blind, there is no excuse for not stopping for a school bus. And if you're blind, you shouldn't be driving. So... there's no excuse!
Those pesky 35ft, 20000 pound school buses. Just so hard to see.
I think they’re a little more than 35ft long, but your point still stands

School bus violation... MANDATORY court appearance! I have cars and trucks run my school bus lights weekly.

That was a very PROFESSIONAL OFFICER. Good job.❤❤😊
Thank you
good work sir
Should be a felony $5000 fine and license revoked
If you can’t see a big yellow bus directly in front of you with its lights flashing you sure as hell don’t need to be driving.

If I did drive and see a school bus about to stop I would have waited regardless
She didnt see a bus with lights.... you shouldnt be allowed to drive
Never DID get to hear what her excuse was for NOT NOTICING that big yellow bus!
nice work yall ❤

Not his fault. When bus turned red lights on, he was already in momentum , even if he jam his breaks he would stop right next to bus

school buses are literally painted a special school bus glossy yellow for a reason. If you can't see that you should not be driving.
