I love this version of Shogun, as I am old enough that I watch the TV miniseries in the 1980s this of course was way better because it is much more authentic. I recognized this actor because I had just finished watching GIRI/Haji. I thought you did a brilliant job showing all the nuances trying to be a husband, father, son and brother. The role of Ishido was given to the right actor, you deserved all the accolades that came with the portrayal of this character.
I absolutely love the show and its writing along with pacing, I'm excited for a second season - I loved the finale, and think the ending of season 1 was perfect (as was everything else, the cinematography was gorgeous. Not to mention all the actresses and actors who breathed life into their characters, casting was on point.) so I can't help and miss the characters now that I've grown fond of them. With Takehiro Hira's character, at my first time watching Shōgun I didn't exactly hate Ishido and I think that is because of how he was played. Even as an antagonist I took a liking to him, along with Yabushige. it made me so happy seeing that Takehiro Hira won an Emmy, I hope everyone who worked on this project had a great Halloween this year 😭❤️ support from Czechia !!🇨🇿
