Honestly, thank you for promoting shopping small businesses on Etsy! Sooooo much work goes into these hand made products (instead of them coming from a factory or made by machines). I’m obsessed with Etsy and have been for the last couple years. I go to it for seriously every holiday and birthday and get every card from there, jewelry, vintage clothes, home decor, EVERYTHING. My moms makes gorgeous wreaths and I’ve been trying to get her to sell on there. I’ve had almost nothing but good experiences with sellers too. The problem isn't head size, the problem is the mass of hair underneath. You need to do small braids to sit flat against the head instead of all bunched together in one big bun, as that volume of hair is taking up all the space in the wigs cap, making it too tight.

I wear wigs almost everyday. My medical condition means I can’t grow much hair without it falling out so I’m bald (Plus side no bald cap!)! It took me a very long time to come to terms with it as a highschooler. My regular wig that looks the most like with regular hair cost about $1200. I like to buy cheaper wigs however in fun colors on days when I want something more fun and change! I like your videos on wigs because I can find some diamonds in the rough!

The orange wig reminds me of when my mother did the hair and wigs for our local production of "Little Shop of Horrors". It was such a complex project that she needed help, which I excitedly volunteered. That, for sure, launched my interest in wigs moving forward. It was a while ago, but I want to say there were probably about 20 wigs, with maybe 15 of them requiring quick changes of a minute or less. I remember securing one actor's wig while she was singing and the curtain was actively rising. Anyway, because of the quick changes and the number of shows each week, the wigs needed to be bulletproof. My mother just passed one year ago after a gut-wrenching six year battle with dementia, so I love being reminded of these incredibly fun times I got to spend with her. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to share how your video made me smile today.
The lace on lace front wigs is meant to be cut! It's made longer so you get to cut to your preferred lenght. Usually people pluck the hairline to give it the desired shape and make it look more sparse (looks more natural) and then cut the lace just around it or a few millimeters away. Then it can be put on and blended in using makeup around the hairline and on any parting. PS: You should make a video trying to follow a lace-front wig preparation and styling tutorial!

Yes, please keep the wigs and do a whole look! It'd be cool if you, maybe like once a month or randomly, did a whole video on doing a full makeover (wig, makeup, jewelry, accessories, outfits, etc.) inspired by the wig. For the Marie Antoinette wig go full Marie Antoinette for that lion wig you could do the Christina Aguilera Lady Marmalade look etc. etc. That would be so fun!
Because you don't do anything with your hair I have an idea: pick a character with amazing intricate hair (I'm thinking Lagertha from Vikings), get a hairdresser to do it for you, then do the makeup/do a photoshoot as the character!
Also, just for context! Wigs from Etsy that are hand styled are so expensive because of the cost of materials and time it takes the create. I style Disney Princess wigs and it can take up to three or four days to style when you consider you have to wait for curls to set and all that kind of stuff! Most of the time I end up making less than $10 an hour on a wig

I feel like the problem is not your head size, is that you don’t flatten your hair. Try doing two (or 4 cause you have lots of hair) cornrow braids and pin the braids “in a zig zag” making sure your hair is as flat as posible, theeen the wig cap, then the wig. ♥️ I love your videos Mia!!
I do wigs for a theater company, and in the theater world pin curls are the standard, they make it so your head is the same shape all around, making the wig fit better. While cornrows are good for cosplay or ease, I would have to recommend pin curls if you want the full effect.
Also you gotta cut the lace off after you have it on so you can get a better feel of how you want your hairline/sideburns. You could also mark it while it's on then cut.

Yes, please keep the wigs and do a whole look! It'd be cool if you, maybe like once a month or randomly, did a whole video on doing a full makeover (wig, makeup, jewelry, accessories, outfits, etc.) inspired by the wig. For the Marie Antoinette wig go full Marie Antoinette for that lion wig you could do the Christina Aguilera Lady Marmalade look etc. etc. That would be so fun!

Because you don't do anything with your hair I have an idea: pick a character with amazing intricate hair (I'm thinking Lagertha from Vikings), get a hairdresser to do it for you, then do the makeup/do a photoshoot as the character!

Also, just for context! Wigs from Etsy that are hand styled are so expensive because of the cost of materials and time it takes the create. I style Disney Princess wigs and it can take up to three or four days to style when you consider you have to wait for curls to set and all that kind of stuff! Most of the time I end up making less than $10 an hour on a wig
You should make a character for each wig, and like do you’re make up and outfit differently per wig ( A whole video idea) 💡

I feel like the problem is not your head size, is that you don’t flatten your hair. Try doing two (or 4 cause you have lots of hair) cornrow braids and pin the braids “in a zig zag” making sure your hair is as flat as posible, theeen the wig cap, then the wig. ♥️ I love your videos Mia!!

I do wigs for a theater company, and in the theater world pin curls are the standard, they make it so your head is the same shape all around, making the wig fit better. While cornrows are good for cosplay or ease, I would have to recommend pin curls if you want the full effect.
Also you gotta cut the lace off after you have it on so you can get a better feel of how you want your hairline/sideburns. You could also mark it while it's on then cut.
