Put a little money aside each time you get paid, try to resist buying too many "shiny objects" as you progress. My first car was a Datsun510, far cry from the AMG but it fulfilled my needs..:) The magic of compound interest cannot be overstated so work hard and save while you're young so you can relax and live comfortably when you're an old fart like me! Just don't forget to do things that bring joy to your life, don't work just for the sake of earning money! Stay happy, don't hang around the wrong people and you'll get there!

The Engine and Transmissions are hand built in Germany by AMG and just installed in the States. This is by far the best version of the GLE. Many of the Sub 53 / 63 variants have more problems being the cheaper trims. The 63 being a flagship typically have more attention to detail in their assembly. I’ve been in both a standard GLE and an AMG GLE 63s coupe and the difference in quality is wild.
Boy that's for sure! I had to bring a loaner (base model 350) home while they prepped my 63s for delivery. My poor wife just about broke down in tears thinking I'd lost my mind to spend $150k on what looked and felt like a suv rental! She felt MUCH better once I rolled up in her actual car...:)
If you have the money and the brains to fix your own cars for the most part, Audi, Mercedes and BMW, etc, these types of cars are the way to go in my opinion. Fun to drive, exotic with all the technology, quality interior etc. Unfortunately the majority of us can only dream lol. They will break down just like any other cars as they over engineered, as long as you take care of them they are fine, but the repairs is what keeps people away.
Fr. Got a flat in my 2021 A220 and pulled off the highway to find some cigerette lighter foam bs😭 had to get a tow bc I replaced the run flats the first week🤣🤣 has a whole divider for a spare and only had a tow hitch and some 12v foam spray🤣🤣
So at 0:58 the front and rear size are slightly different, so if you get a front flat you move the rear wheel to the front and install the compact spare in the rear?
I have the 2019 AMG GLE 63 S coupe. I love enjoy her. She’s wicked sick. I plan to keep her another year get a 2023. I’m always thinking what other car do I want, and when I start going over the specs performance, the quality, the build trust in Mercedes, and the fact that this is my third AMG,GLE. Nothing compares, and there’s not a lot of them out there! She’s tight flat around the curves like you said. Neither one of my mustangs can compare.
And how bout that perk of the AMG Performance Driving Academy?!! That was a blast and the quality and performance of all the different models we drove was just astounding!
AMG models are really the most bang for your (expensive) buck. You get performance that rivals or passes competition. You get interior luxury that most certainly passes almost all competition. The look of the car is aggressive and beautiful. And most AMG cars you can daily drive as well. Mercedes gets hate but it’s really one of the best brands 🤷🏻♂️
X6M is arguably better than this on interior material quality and most definitely performance wise however I would say this has a more sleek and polished exterior
The Mercedes GLE coupe is a great looking SUV. It's unfortunate it was made in Alabama. Many of those already have lots of mechanical and electrical gremlins.

German cars don't need to be assembled in Alabama to have mechanical and electrical gremlins, they're prone to fail just by the way they're designed to begin with, it's nothing new.
In 2015 I got married and I had to switch gears from riding fast bikes, to learning about fast cars because I wanted a future with my wife and possible children. I got into boosted, tunable, luxury(esq) cars like the F80 m3, c63 amg, etc. Spent over 200,000 on cars several years. Then something dawned on me... It's the stark realization that I wasn't really having that much fun driving around in them. Sure, the power is at first addictive. And the more you tune it and see the unlocked potential, the deeper you fall for this culture. Full stop. It all became meaningless. You are letting the car do all the work. All you're doing is pressing the gas pedal and having JUST enough coordination and reflexes not to lose control of it, which isn't hard to do. And I remembered how much more fun I used to have in a slower, simpler, stick shift car. Like my 370z. My old genesis coupe. Even my "slow" 328i. I had so much more fun when cars were simpler, lighter, and I was rowing my own gears. This GLE is fast. But it is soooo boring. I mean this video is literally EXACTLY just like all of the other videos of yet another 100,000 dollar super fast automatic crossover thingy. How times have changed.
Sigh, I know what you mean. My first and almost favorite car was a 4speed Datsun 510. Handled like a dream but took all afternoon to get over 90mph..:) 2nd fav. was an 08Z06. Also a really fun car! Getting older now and don't drive as much so can't really justify 2 cars any more so we combined the power and luxury with the 63s suv. Ah compromises....

Got the chance to drive a GLE63s (non coupé format) and I think it would be a perfect 2nd car to your dream 2 car garage. Also love the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT but in terms of overall performance + comfort, this takes the cake in my opinion 👏
While I have not driven or been in a 63s - I recently test drove a 2024 GLE580 and man, can that car move! It had GREAT sound and was super smooth (even on 22 inch wheels). I must say, it sure beats our Cayenne that we currently have, but then we do have the base car - but with a lot of options.
they'll add that for the total redesign, this was just a refresh. same with the CLA/GLA update for 2024, since it's not a redesign, it keeps the general interior.
I don’t either. My dad wants the GLE 63 coupe and the GV80 coupe, and I don’t get it. I’ve asked him MANY times why, and his only response is “cause I just like how it looks”. The “coupe” SUVs are absolutely hideous.

Do these AMG have electrical issues after 10 years of ownership? Especially with the use of plastic and all the electrical stuff nowadays? Even Toyotas have issues after plastic gets brittle after 10+ years. Not trying to hate, but very curious.
probably going to pick up one of these next year with low miles used, 5-20k mile range. these have already dropped to under 100k used, so hopefully I should get a steal on one like I did with my GLE 53
These journalists still do not realise people don't buy these large SUVs for occasional track days. How does it deal with potholes, bad quality roads? Is suspension too firm? Never mentioned/. At least prior to facelift people were complaining that on 22' wheels car is too stiff and rough.
I got the 21's, a little sidewall helps a lot with that ride. Potholes and shitty roads are zero problem and while the ride is on the firm side it is still plush..:)

Friends son in-law won a 2023 model in raffle, agonized over and ultimately took the cash payout alternative, now gets sad drunk at every friends/family gathering mumbling "GLE" in a woe is me way, and has all the specs and features memorised.
I dunno what it is with the coupe SUVs from MB and BMW. Somedays I look at them and I think they are alright looking and other days I look at them and they look ugly.
I’m sorry but for the same price get a X5 M Competition or A Porsche Cayenne S. Not only are they a lot more reliable, but they definitely look better (this looks like a Chevy blazer) and drive better. Mercedes does luxury really well, but if you want a performance SUV this is NOT what you want
