That smile on his dads face is what all us Geordies growing up dreaming of been a footballer wished for for our own fathers face , glad his dads dream has come true
Buzzing for him and his family. His dad already looks so chuffed to bits. Trippier always being one of the first players to make time for our new signings is class to see. Such a great captain.
Technically he is the vice captain so it makes you think where is Jamaal Lascelles in all this? He never is the first one to greet a new signing. A rubbish player who Eddie Howe only keeps for his leadership skills and his dressing room charisma. What’s the point keeping him is he doesn’t do these off the field duties? Bin that player man and get a new centre back
@@raf7305 You said it yourself mate, Eddie keeps Lascelles for his leadership skills behind the scenes. Why would he get rid of him if he has a good impact on our other players? And I have to disagree with Lascelles being a rubbish player. He's been a great servant to Newcastle over the years and has stuck with us no matter what.
@beatrixdobson4795 agree 100%. He stuck with us through those rough times. Would be happy to have him retire with us once he feels he can no longer play to the top ability but will then work with the young coming through the ranks. Same with Matt Ritchie.
@@beatrixdobson4795 Lacelles is Eddie's muscle, he's a vital part of the team, hard man, doesn't play, doesn't mind, just an enforcer and a role model.
Hasn't been at the club long but it's becoming very clear why Dan Ashworth is such a highly regarded figure in football. He's cooking something fierce! 🔥🔥🔥
I love the personable approach from Dan Ashworth, by acknowledging his dad played Rugby up here. That goes a long way. Eddie Howe is similar in which he will learn about players families
Beautiful family 🤗 aww it's grand to see him here (with the correct shirt on) Howay our Lew, I'm that excited for our future all of us, what a team! What a manager! What a rush 😀
As a Chelsea fan, really disappointed to see him go, really classy and talented. Guaranteed he will come back to haunt Chelsea like Salah, De Bruyne etc... At the club he supported growing up, so can only wish him the very best success. 👌
Loved the reaction when he looked back at the stand from the pitch. A shake and an exhail . Yeah! It's great to see he's a real lad. Best of luck and enjoy your time with newcastle.
Aww bless him. That part at the beginning reminded of school when your dad would sit & chat with the teacher at a parents evening & you're sitting there thinking "please don't say anything bad pleaaaase" 😂
Mad isn't it? With the profile of the game and everything that surrounds it I find myself forgetting sometimes that these are just normal lads - i know what I was like when I was 18 and I am not sure I'd have managed a situation like that as well as Lewis does here. Must be hard to take it all in..... you'd be mad not to be nervous..... Take your time Lewis lad - looks like we're really developing a set up that will enable players to progress and push their potential while being successful for the club. Edit - I know this is hardly an original thought, but sometimes I have to pinch myself to see how much things have changed at Newcastle in such a relatively small time..... it really does make what Ashley did look not just negligent but insane. There wasn't even the pretence of progressing the club. Anyway - sorry Lewis - rant over!
Love seeing these videos, shows the effort the club put in getting a player to feel welcome. Tripps doing his bit and big jo and bruno joined at the hip haha
I absolutely love everything about the culture of this club at the minute.. The way we’ve built a cohesive backroom staff that are all pulling in the same direction but all very clear on their job roles. The way we’ve got a dressing room of lads that you know would run through a brick wall for Eddie and each other. That we have such a deep group of leaders and voices, especially the lads who might not get game time but are vital to the squad. The blend of youth and experience and the way the older lads are prepared to grow the young lads and give them tough love. We are fucking massive. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️
Looks so young, but plays like a seasoned pro, he's gunna give us that much needed assists from LB, no disrespect to Burn but goals win's us games and this lad will create plenty for us, Burn is great for his defensive awareness 2 totally different asset's attack is our new form of defence which we showed many times last season and its only gunna get better.
Ever since the new ownership comes in. Brilliant coaching team, excellent recruitment team, building for the future & signing local talents. Don't listen to outside voice, we do our thing, Our team future is bright. #NUFC #ToonArmy
Respect to Newcastle. After years of turmoil they seem to have it right in all areas. Quietly building under a great manager. Any team who comes on to Going Home / Local Hero gets a bonus point from me too!
Amazing ive followed NUFC. SINCE ANY COLE WAS #9. Two relegations and a few disappointments but a night like that, WOW. thats up there with 3 2 against Barca
Not gonna lie I would never have guessed that Shay Given made more appearances for us than Shearer! Good signing this though, he comes across a bit uninterested but I think that's the nerves and awkwardness of a very very very young lad, it's probably all a bit overwhelming doing all this at that age. Hope he has a good season and secures a permanent transfer, glad to see we're bringing in young future talent!
Brilliant news for all Nufc fans a young and very talented player into the squad, lots of Chelsea fans really disappointed Lewis has left which tells you what a brilliant signing this is. The family look and sound really nice people and I don’t think Lewis will take long to settle in as we have a really good set of players who are all together in making every new player welcome. Lewis’s dad looks chuffed to bits his son is eventually going to wear the black&white stripes the team he has supported since he was a kid what a feeling this must be for them all. Welcome Lewis I wish you nothing but health and happiness and a successful career at Newcastle United once a Mag always a Mag 🖤🤍🖤🤍
09:04 I never realised Shay Given would have become the player with the most appearances in club history if we hadn't ridiculously sold him in 2009 (which also caused us to be relegated that year)
Well we needed some more quality and a bit more depth for the upcoming season, and the club and owners have delivered again. We have spent a fair bit of cash now, and understandably we probably cant invest any more this season, we will need that Adidas sponsorship, a good run in the group stages and a good seasons finish. I would be over the moon with another top 4 finish, but it will be harder this year given that all the big teams around us have strengthened and improved. A top 6 would be still a very good season, along with a decent domestic cup run, all will help the finances, still feel we are 3-4 players light in terms of overall quality but we are making huge strides and those players will come, just gotta stick to FFP, now lets take the game to Liverpool and show the league we are meant to be at the top table HWTL⚫⚪
Look at the smile on his old mans face. Chuffed to bits.
Imagine your child being worth 35m or whatever, must be surreal
As a dad seeing your son sign for your club. Better than sex😁

More like imposing himself on the new kids. He isn't even the captain he's just the teachers pet...

Absolutely gutted to see this as a Chelsea fan. Wishing you nothing but the best, Lewis. I'm sure you'll be a fan favourite in no time 💙

Tripp's is always there for the new boy's.What a great skipper
Hi Robert I agree he knows how to look after his team mates and I remember the goal he scored against Croatia in the 2018 World Cup
His dad is an absolute unit. If he fills out like him he will be a battering ram.
Exciting times.
His dad used to play rugby, his cauliflower ears are a good clue too. 😉👍
If he fills out like his Dad, he will be playing for the Newcastle Falcons!

so nice to see the connection Dan ashworth has. Knowing his dad played rugby league, it's those subtle touches that make the difference
