Its amazing how the music in the 80s was so crisp where you can clearly hear each instrument as it plays...the only era to do that in my opinion...and then when you are amazing melodies its all the more perfect
That whole Device album “22B3” is fantastic…..front to back Holly Knight(legendary songwriter and keyboardist in this video) bangers. Paul Engemann was at his absolute vocal best in this band before he went over to Animotion.
On this day in 1986 {August 30th} Device performed "Who Says?" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand'... Three weeks later "Who Says?" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #95, four weeks later it would peak at #79 {for 1 week} and it spent 6 weeks on the Top 100... And on the same 'Bandsand' show the group also performed "Hangin' On A Heart Attack", at the time it was at #45, the previous three weeks it was at #35, that was also it's peak position on the chart...
Who Says they made for MTV and played here on American Bandstand.I think its a better song than Hanging On A Heart Attack,Paul the swag looks u forget he had Solo Songs before this and after goes onto Animotion Room To Move wicked song.Holly shes stunning the Key tar has got to be one of the Great Artists Super Duper like a Group what shes done if u had a few Hollies woe lols. Was in US Spider Band there was a Spider Band from UK around the same fine era and help write many songs for others and Tinas One Of The Living superb song and vid.My era here to be blessed and part of the greatest decade of all time never to forget miss it so much oh hail the 80s atmosphere could harp on and explain vibes and feelings like no other time or place in history
The Night is warm and my Body wrecked And the Hair stands up on the back of my neck Oh yeah it's in my Hand and we shouldn't stop But before I took the last shot something in my Head went to... It doesn't matter what you say How can you hope to hide away Weren't we looking for the same Thing?... Who, who, who says it's not that easy to walk away from you Who, who, who says it's not that easy to... walk away... from you And if we take this Temporary tumble in the Dark Don't reach for the Hammer, don't hit me in the Heart Breathe deep like a Beast when you're rockin' my device Set loose like an Animal... just another sacrifice Then you ran wild through the Streets with your Wheels on Fire And the last Thing you needed was to see me turn around And say, 'no!' It doesn't matter what you say How can you hope to hide away Weren't we looking for the same thing?... Who, who, who says it's not that easy to walk away from you Who, who, who, says it's not that easyto... walkaway... from you (Watch me walk...) It doesn't matter what you say How can you hope to hide away Weren't we looking for the same thing?... Who, who, who says it's not that easy to walk away from you
Sad that this entire performance is lipsynced and played along to the studio recording; in no way is this live ( it was made for a t.v show ). I would really like to see an actual live performance of this band because they are phenomenal
So? Every AB performance was straight playback. Is this news to you or do you just like to state the obvious? Enjoy it for what it is, that being an overproduced TV performance meant for the masses. The '80s at its finest!
Guys check out REO Speedwagon's performance of Can't fight this feeling from Live Aid 1985. They don't need autotune, filter or to mime to the music. They take the studio version and lift it up to a whole new level. This here are no talents.
Fuck sake...... Every time Holly is on screen, I can't take my eyes off her. Song is amazing but she is in genuine danger of destracting me. STOP IT HOLLY!

Couldn't agree more with you pal. I'm a child from the 80's and i miss that decade mélodies so much...there's so much to discover yet.
Ditto! Then 90s Grunge came about and DESTROYED everything :-(

I am not sure about lipsynced. The album and single version, its not the same as this. Much proof its the last minutes😊
Shit and the woman didn't have tattoos and piercings on her wow those were the days
Damm she look goood

Love my 80's ......sexy!💋
An obvious lipsynched performance, and it's a shame because this band is amazing. I wish there was a REAL live performance of this .
И ЭТО 86ГОД????ПИПЕЦ КАК МЫ ОТСТАЛИ ОТ ГЕНИЕВ МУЗЫКИ
phenomenal album that got no radio play but some shit like timex social club did.

Love it, and Holly is so beautiful.
Просто пипец
86 год как 2005смотриться
Единственный в их дискографии альбом ,,, все песни огонь
Nobody, never, nohow, nowrote nothing farly similar about this song.
Their music reminds of the one from Jem and the holograms
0:05 - 0:13 Drummer is playing like "Damn, My wife left me yesterday"
Neat. Holy isn't faking the keyboard playing very well though. She should have just picked up a bass to fake.
Fuck sake...... Every time Holly is on screen, I can't take my eyes off her. Song is amazing but she is in genuine danger of destracting me. STOP IT HOLLY!
The girl in the band looks very pretty.
Holly omg Knight she's amazing machine she deserves high praises
WTF they are playing playback. This ''live performance'' sound just like the music video which i've listened to a lot. Huge letdown...
Jesus Fucking Christ you're stupid
So what?
