I've always loved the SD line. Great pistol. It's the only glock clone I've ever liked. But like I'm always complaining about. They cut corners on the recoil spring.
The 9mm and the .40 share a spring. For 40 its no big deal. But in 9mm it can causes ejection issues with weakly loaded 9mm. Id bet 90% of SDs that have issues would be resolved with the reduced power recoil spring that is sold online by a few companies.
I have to be the only weirdo that actually liked the gen 1 trigger. Once you learn to stage it the pistol is a real tack driver.
    Great buy SPN.

I really wanted it to work out and believe me I tried. Had it been reliable I'd say it's what the Glock 42 should have been. I now have the LCP I should have gotten in the first place. How the DB380 costs more than the original LCP right now is beyond me.

@@magnum_0710 that’s really upsetting because the DB380 is lighter and smaller than the LCP, it’s almost like a 32ACP. How heavy was the recoil spring compared to the LCP? The DB9 recoil spring is heavy “for reasons” but I was hoping the DB380 was lighter. The LCP is cheap because Ruger is trying to get rid of inventory, once it’s gone it will be discontinued like the LCP 2. I like the LCP Max but I like the thinner grip.

I had the Gen 3 first, trigger bar bent after 300 rounds, they sent it back but it looked like the bent part was cut off. When I asked about it they decided to replace it with the Gen 4. Please take it from personal experience, don't waste your money on a Kahr firearm.
What I'm about to tell you is NOT an exaggeration.
I bought a Kahr 9mm. I really liked the way it felt in my hands. I had three mags for it. I couldn't get through 1 mag without 2, 3 or more malfunctions. Kahr said there was a break in period. No problem except I was far past the 250 round break in that Kahr recommended. I polished the feed ramp and got it to run a mag or two, but then right back to jamming up.
I traded it for a Springfield XDM in 45acp at the same shop I bought the Kahr from.
I don't, nor will I ever own a Kahr firearm.
    Just thought I'd share my
    experience with Kahr.

I’d Stick to the OG SD just leave it STOCK internally stipple the grip/finger rest/trigger pad/half-underguard, sights n lights and shoot it till something breaks if it ever does 😂,and really stick too old hinge triggered SW’s are tanks (SD9VE/2.0s MP9/40/🛡/🛡+ too) there’s absolutely nothing wrong with those triggers folks need to learn to shoot shouldnt even be allowed to touch a glock till they mastered a stock SD dont call them trainer glocks for nothing 🎯😎🧐,the OG SD9VE factory trigger is fine wears in perfect safe for noobs/falls/grapples,the SD9VE/G19 are lightest EDC compacts out especially downloaded 10/12rd EDC,till this day SD9/🛡+TS best comfy budget combo but never ♉️🚮 the SD is as Low as you ever go for reliable hollow eater new$350 max/used $250 max 2 mags

I made the mistake of buying this particular pistol. The polymer frame is made of very hard plastic that has a shiny appearance to it. The trigger is really bad. Overall the pistol feels really cheap. It's definitely a low priced 9mm pistol that will serve the purpose for someone who can't or does not want to spend several hundred dollars for something better.

It’s ran flawlessly so far s and the trigger is only “really bad” to straight up trigger snobs. If you can’t shoot this pistol good then idk if you should own one. Go watch my live shooting review, it’s a tack driver
