Thank for this! I needed the encouragement. I think I'm still in the discovery stage sort of. I'm a licensed social worker and I believe that while on this earth my calling is to help others. I recently left the field of social work due to burn out, not feeling passionate any longer and had so many blah days like "why am I here and people please leave me alone for a second." Although I was really great at what I did, I was really annoyed by it too. So now I'm at the stage of "now what?" So how can I still be of service to others but not in a direct way as before and still make a living? That's the hard part. I'm looking for work now and pay is very slim, definitely not what I'm used to. I can go back to social work and of course make decent money and feel empty and frustrated doing it and I don't want that.

20:20 Ken ran right past a great point made by Daniel when he says that "sweet spot" is like a dial on the compass. Have you ever used a real compass? trying to walk around following direction you decided can be difficult. essentially every step you take that needle on the compass is wiggling ever so slightly and if you dont pay attention and correct the course you could end of WAAAY of course from what mark you are trying to hit.

How do you know what you're good at? I am disabled, so there's a lot that I _could_ be good at, but I can't persue them because of my physical issues. I'm afraid that I'm not good at anything (other than psychology that I need a degree for) and I can't make it on only $700 a month. I'm also becoming less and less passionate about things because of people's judgement; for example, I used to be love singing, but I've had a lot of people say that I'm not good and when they try to correct me, I don't understand what they're talking about, I don't hear what they hear and NOW I absolutely _HATE_ the sound of my own voice!
Can you PLEASE give me some direction??? How do I know WHAT I'm good at? How do I become passionate? And can I do _something_ NOW or should I just stay in school and accrue debt for the next 8-10 years until I can get my doctorate degree? I feel stuck, lost and I feel bad about myself. . .

      Hello, Amanda.
Search: "Nick Vujicic, 'Overcoming Hopelessness', TEDxNoviSad"
I will suggest a few things to answer your question. First, your voice. Keep singing. Block out the negative voice that says you're not good enough. God gave you a gift. Use it. It's a good thing.
Second, a little child told me something very profound, "The things I can't do, I dream I can."
Put that dream on paper. Visualize it. Make a goal of it. Work it out into reality. You will inspire others, and when that happens, your focus won't be on self, but outward on all the good things you can do, and all the people you can influence and inspire for good.
Avoid self-pity, self-loathing, self-condemnation, self-abuse, self-reproach like the plague. It's a bad place to be and it only fosters self-centeredness.
Search out Dr. Caroline Leaf and neuroplasticity.
Our thoughts should ALL be like diamonds--clear and beautiful.
You have great value. Know this.
Check out Nick! :@) Have great day!

Amanda Brown I am disbled too. I am hearing impaired so I can’t take jobs requiring customer service, of any kind, I am sensitive to sound as well so I can’t b near loud noises, music or hav the phone to my ear. I’m also super weak so I can’t lift heavy stuff.
This makes finding a job SUPER hard. So I’m getting training in UI desgin. It’s a remote job that feels like doing art all day and it pays 72 in less than 3 months of training. It’s very cheap to get in and fun. I’d take a look at it
