The remote lockdown thing will forever be the most idiotic roleplay mechanic in nopixel history, and the fact they they’re brining it back is just sad. Air one was inevitable bc pd was always going to need that crutch. But the lockdown mechanic is literally the worst, most anti-rp thing ever
Dude the economy is already fuck because jobs and crims are not balance so this will kinda prevent the economy from spiraling out of control if for example hydra getting raided

Cops just used to remote lockdown and roll in with their full squad.
It'd be much better if there was a chance for crims to get their stuff out in time, unless everyone awake is caught/downed.
In the same way that police have the ability to collect DNA and evidence if someone managed to stay alive during the conflict. They have decided (best cop mechanic currently IMO), that if they get fully wiped AKA everyone that responds gets killed/downed, they do not collect evidence and just take the L, which I think is a really good way to give crims a chance inside a scenario. A full PD wipe is something that rarely happens. Any shootouts atm are already a massive risk financially and will set your whole group back a whole lot.
I honestly don't understand why PD doesn't like playing cops and robbers with shootouts for big jobs like maze bank, cop shootings and big warrant arrests + raids
If its only used when there's insane amount of evidence crim doing illegal things I don't see why it's bad, eventually crims will have so much houses on even civ names. Seems like an okay way to balance out economy if not abused
@@MSJV it's bad cause nopixel is a rp server right? So how do remote locks add to rp? They don't, they take out some potential rp moments.
@@koriyeltsin6989 well its an mmo now with a little rp in it. Prob gives cops more incentive to follow investigations/ keep track more. As long as cops don't abuse it, adds more potential rp options into the game.

Why do they bring the worst parts of 3.0 over first WTF, cant wait for 3 hour chases ending in 3 hour hold outs, pulling air 1 out makes the map feel real small real quick.

AIR 1, 2 and 3 for PD is a rental. It's temporary, but theres no time line on how long they have it.
So if one of them gets destroyed would they get another one to replace it?

The reason this isnt the case with any vehicle because someone could just stand by, destroy a vehicle, then wait for the timer and keep doing it so it can never be used.

I blame besties for this for constantly using helis and planes getaways for some dumb shit reasons.
They need to make another way to transport the money from Maze Bank cuz it's practically impossible now that they have air 1 on it.

Hot take: Remote lockdowns are 100% anti RP, and helicopters on a rp server and the way the have been used on CoPixel is just dumb af.
Not really a hot take when probably 90% of the server that streams agrees lol. It seems like only the pure W mentality non-streaming cops would even attempt a remote lock down which is good since there's less cops like that now, but there's still some. From what I've seen a lot of the good cops actually want the lock down RP so there's a good chance they'll push others not to use it too, hopefully...
The PD already has plenty of issues, including limited number of cops and has cops who go over the limit on chases. But hey let's add another reason to make them stretched on numbers and More OP

Sounds like right now the Heli has no speed so maybe a even a sprinter can highway blast it but thatll last 1 or 2 times

@@topgeorge6908the PD budget might prevent that, with how much issues they were having with keeping the normal cruisers repaired, I'd imagine the heli's will have even more expensive of repairs which would prevent over-use. Plus they suck down gas quickly and take a lot of it so fuel costs might add up too.

My only question is why dont they just stash it all in the entry point from the sewers put all the money and gold down and place boxes or something over it. (As a tester) and do what ramee did the first time they got in by putting it on the ledge where its impossible to spot

Catching sprinters isn’t as easy as people make it out to be.
Role playing servers have rules that must be taken into account. If the police could just shoot out tires it would be over in 2 seconds, but they can’t.

@@topgeorge6908 Vehicle speed is irrelevent if you can't do much once you catch up to it.
They can't shoot over a bank heist, they cant NVL. They can't prevent swaps until they warn first to use a taser or something, which gives time for swaps.
I am not complaining about any of this. I think these rules are needed for RP.
It's crazy that they approved Air 1 use on maze bank when at the time of them approving it, not a single group had even successfully robbed the place yet. Of course they're not gonna catch people when most of them don't even make it far enough to trigger the main alarm...
If only the PD realized that the money that was successfully stolen from the silent heists wasn't even enough to make up for the money that went into the attempt, they're probably thinking that they're letting millions of dollars get away meanwhile it's actually not even a million total between all the groups (not including CG's successful attempt) lmao.

edit: in real life you need a warrant in order to search property, but in NP cops can just press a button and raid whenever.

Oh my god, the cops have a chance to catch the criminals and my favorite streamer might go to jail for being a criminal. Plus they are on Nopixel because the other servers suck and they don’t make any money on them
It feels like each job with high enough rep gets specific perks that no one else gets. For news reporters for say they get a phone scanner; I think for maze bank they want you to use a tier 3 money truck. Richard might have to save the day
