- The James River Heritage Trail is our hometown trail system in Lynchburg. It consists of 5 paved, linked trails. Our video shows you how to navigate the trails to log a 19.5 mile ride. Lynchburg City and Amherst County have done a great job creating this trail system. We encourage you to come to Lynchburg to ride your bike and take advantage of some of the great amenities in our revitalized downtown!

Nice overview. Thanks!
Wow! What a great video of a great ride. I will see you on the trail soon.
Thanks, we are fortunate to have this trail system in the area!
Just discovered your channel. Great videos! So many trails I didn't know were out there. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, we love riding trails and making the videos is a lot of fun!
Loved watching your videos. Very impressively done. I had no idea!!!
You both are amazing. I think I love the Lynchburg trails the best -- but I’m not a biker!!-❤
Thanks Jane. It’s easy and healthy to become a biker!😎
We hope to visit your area next year. Very informative video.
We hope you can and we think you will love the trail system and….our fine city! 😎
Great video. Makes me want to visit Lynchburg.
You will not regret visiting Lynchburg! 😎
What a great introduction to L’burg. Beautiful trails and cool people
Nice looking trail system there. The convenience of the Amtrak station may be of some help too, yeah?
You can access the trail from the station!
@@BentOnBiking awesome 👏
The trail is closed a little over a mile from Linkhorne Middle School entrance due to a city construction project. If you park downtown, you can still ride most of the trail. I’ll post again when the trail is open again.
The trail is now open except for a short segment from Hollins Mill to downtown due to power line construction.
The trail is now open everywhere!
Hi at about 5:54 on the video you come to a fence, the words are too small for me to read. assume that the trail stops there or can you continue through? Thank you.
That is the turn around point. Amherst County has plans to extend the trail for several miles but a landowner is preventing that option.
@@BentOnBiking thank you for your quick k response, I look forward to doing this trail and spending time in Lynchburg.
