You voice is very clear and soothing and your slow, step-by-step instructions have made new patterns look possible. You are my go-to channel for all things knitting. Thank you!
Hi Carolina! There might be a mistake in the written instructions. It says Knit for row 4 when you purl it across in the video. But it might be me! I have just started knitting! Thanks for all your video, I am learning a great deal with them!! Greetings from Barcelona!
Hi William, I believe you are correct, it is a typo in the instructions. Fourth row should indeed be as follows: 4º row: P to last st, K1. Good catch! Keep safe, Michelle G [Derbyshire, UK]
I really want to try this but I can’t figure out at all what you’re saying at the very end about the cast off. I obviously don’t want to start it then realise I have to cast off differently than normal. What is it you’re saying about the cast off? Apologies, I have replayed the end bit lots of times and still don’t know what you’re saying.
🤔 Do you ever have directions for how to do the stitches in the round? Perhaps I'd be considered an advanced beginner. All I know is that I can't figure out how to adjust stitch patterns to be able to do them in the rounds. I make hats for charity, and I'd love to be able to use some of these lovely stitches.
I have shared some patterns in the round: th-cam.com/video/olwULBhZNnQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gaqQNbKlEqssax9p th-cam.com/video/MMQ3W9LsbGA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RFrERxKHIM9NSvaR th-cam.com/video/Yxvw0Ree12E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZP60sXexqr4oVfxG th-cam.com/video/botM2tehlGg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4eFOIMDpiw9iknLA th-cam.com/video/NWdrqkPXpRg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fjI7GTqlKqTd9DV8 th-cam.com/video/rTtP6NlSOPM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3DY13SDr-KHVZrDd Happy knitting 🧶
This is actually my favorite pattern for socks, which I knit using magic loop. I've not had any issue knitting this in the round as long as I have cast on a multiple of 4 with the instep half ending in a purl 2. I don't slip the first stitch of the row, just keep the k2/p2 sequence across the entire needle with the sole stitches in stockinette. After the heel, I simply continue with the pattern to complete the ankle/ leg section, finishing with the ribbing.
I love that you explain why you like knitting the last stitch through the back in every first row in every video

You mean to make the color change vertically?

I think said to cast off after you have repeated a row 1 ( not row 4.) I maybe mistaken though
