With the cords, if you have a label maker. Make a label with what it is, leave a bunch of space after. And put it on the cord and attach it to itself, like a long tag. Super helpful.

As someone who is getting over her pandemic houseplant-obsessed phase and is getting into her crochet-obsessed phase (and using you videos to learn), I can tell you that plant you have hanging in the window is a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. Many people do call it a "mini monstera" however it is technically not part of the monstera genus. Love your videos!!

Scheepjes translates to 'small ships' ('schip' being the Dutch word for 'ship' and 'scheepje' being the diminutive of 'schip'). That's also why there is a small boat in the logo :) I'm not sure if the sch-sound exists in English, but a sk-sound is close enough. I think I would write it out as Skay-p.yes.

I love my Lykke set! They are so smooth, they aren't too heavy or too light, and so pretty! My favorite part is that they are made long enough and come with end caps so they double as regular crochet hooks so all I need is they one set!

My shame space is a bunch of wide/long under bed storage totes full of yarn. I had multiple totes full of unfinished projects that I had zero desire to pick up again. So I frogged it all last week. It took me an entire day to wind it into balls so I can use it for something else I actually want to make, and then made a shelf of stacks of rainbow organized yarn balls.

Congrats on your home purchase! I wish I could have my own craft room, the ultimate dream. Tip I saw about organizing cords: folding them up into empty TP rolls. They standup and the cord stays together and you can even write what it goes to on the outside. Not necessarily the prettiest, but super easy, upcycling, and as long as it's still in a draw no one has to know lol

I caught just the last few minutes of the live but I did the replay. I also went on Amazon and got the book Tunisian crochet handbook. Yes I'm excited. Now to find a reasonable priced set of hooks. I've got the metal hooks but I'd like a more comfortable holding hook set. I've seen some of the $70 sets that are beautiful but completely out of my price range. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I'm so excited for the new book to arrive next week. I tried to buy the ebook but for whatever reason there's some issue on Amazon buying ebooks. Saw ur group of granny squares that u plan to put together in the future, then saw Part 1 The Continuous Join as you go Granny Square Blanket Crochet tutorial by Fiber Spider-actually the squares are joined after they have all been made but continually or continuously (lol)! Anywho I know u have a lot of crochet knowledge but just in case u didn’t know abt this method I’m making note of it here in case it interest you!
Wow! I really enjoyed the tour! I have similar groups of crafty stuff lingering around my home, but I tend to use more large plastic tubs with lids to store yarns I just buy 'just because' and haven't considered for any projects yet. I stick labels on them (i.e. 'cotton yarn', 'merino yarn', ...) I also have lots of different types of project bags to use for current projects (got about 5 of those...really need to motivate myself to work on these more)

Take the Lykke hooks with you and try them out sometime before you don't ever use them. They are divine! I have all three sets: Tunisian interchangable, Knitting interchangable 5" and 3.5" sets. I love they way they work!

Could you do a series where you talk about the different weights of yarn (fingering, dk, etc) and talk about the type of projects to do within those weights? I stick with 3 or 4 weight because that's all I know but would love to extend my knowledge.

There is another content creator on youtube. The Organized Soprano. Besides being organized and a soprano; she is a tech geek, gamer, plant & pet mom, and entrepreneur. I often knit while watching her clean. Lol
lol, when you pulled that drawer of white to brown pom pom puffs out i thought, "she's breeding tribbles" for the cords, get some velcro straps or velcro cable straps, doesn't have to be fancy, its just for bundling individual or a bunch of cords together to keep them tidy and tangle free. When I plug my power cords into the surge protector i like to put a strip of paper around the power cord and doublestick the ends together so its like a flag and write down what its connected to. Can do the same when putting cords away for storage. Hope that helps! Thanks for doing a room tour! I can relate with the mess!

This really satiated my curiosity, I always wondered what your crafting space was like. Also, I am currently working on a simple granny shawl with the K+C Element yarn you got from Joann since I bought the rest of the stock (like 10 balls of yarn) and 10 more (I think) I ordered online. The dye lots are not the same but it's giving a neat little color changing effect. Can't wait to share on my Instagram :)

I've got the metal hooks but I'd like a more comfortable holding hook set. I've seen some of the $70 sets that are beautiful but completely out of my price range. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I'm so excited for the new book to arrive next week. I tried to buy the ebook but for whatever reason there's some issue on Amazon buying ebooks. Saw ur group of granny squares that u plan to put together in the future, then saw Part 1 The Continuous Join as you go Granny Square Blanket Crochet tutorial by Fiber Spider-actually the squares are joined after they have all been made but continually or continuously (lol)! Anywho I know u have a lot of crochet knowledge but just in case u didn’t know abt this method I’m making note of it here in case it interest you!

I have similar groups of crafty stuff lingering around my home, but I tend to use more large plastic tubs with lids to store yarns I just buy 'just because' and haven't considered for
any projects yet. I stick labels on them (i.e. 'cotton yarn', 'merino yarn', ...)
I also have lots of different types of project bags to use for current projects (got about
5 of those...really need to motivate myself to work on these more)

Take the Lykke hooks with you and try them out sometime before you don't ever use them. They are divine! I have all three sets: Tunisian interchangable, Knitting interchangable 5" and 3.5" sets. I love they way they work!

Could you do a series where you talk about the different weights of yarn (fingering, dk, etc) and talk about the type of projects to do within those weights? I stick with 3 or 4 weight because that's all I know but would love to extend my knowledge.

lol, when you pulled that drawer of white to brown pom pom puffs out i thought, "she's breeding tribbles"
for the cords, get some velcro straps or velcro cable straps, doesn't have to be fancy, its just for bundling individual or a bunch of cords together to keep them tidy and tangle free. When I plug my power cords into the surge protector i like to put a strip of paper around the power cord and doublestick the ends together so its like a flag and write down what its connected to. Can do the same when putting cords away for storage. Hope that helps! Thanks for doing a room tour! I can relate with the mess!

You are much more organized than you give yourself credit for. You say you have more yarn than you'll ever use. I do that with lots of things. I assume this is a 2022 video. Hope you're loving your new home.

When you were showing the drawers of hooks I kept looking for the BQueen ones. So glad they had a place of honor in your space. I started getting them after you did your review, but only managed to aquire about 4. Now they're not available because they moved. Congrats on your first home. Love your vibe! How do you keep your yarn dust-free? Do you keep the Dreambox closed when not in use? I have to keep it in lidded bins or it accumulates dust, but I would love to have it on shelves so I can see and pet it!
This really satiated my curiosity, I always wondered what your crafting space was like. Also, I am currently working on a simple granny shawl with the K+C Element yarn you got from Joann since I bought the rest of the stock (like 10 balls of yarn) and 10 more (I think) I ordered online. The dye lots are not the same but it's giving a neat little color changing effect. Can't wait to share on my Instagram :)
I see that you have lots of minis. I seem to be paranoid that I will run out of yarn in a project so getting a tiny bit of a yarn makes me nervous. Do you have any strategy when buying minis? Mixing and matching them to different projects?
